With focus on some struggling 'big teams' this season so far I thought it'd be interesting to share everyone's team of the year so far, I would anticipate a few players from 'lesser teams' included in the discussion more than usual.

Try and stick to a 4-4-2 format even if you have to move players slightly from their natural positions and don't think in terms of building a team just on individual performances so far.

Mine would be this:

GK - Jack Butland (Stoke)

DR - Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)
DC - Nicolas Otamendi (Man City)
DC - Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal)
DL - Nacho Monreal (Arsenal)

MR - Riyad Mahrez (Leicester)
MC - Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)
MC - Ross Barkley (Everton)
ML - Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

SC - Romelu Lukaku (Everton)
SC - Odion Ighalo (Watford)

Would expect plenty of debate here and imagine I will be one of few people not including Vardy but I personally think the performances of Lukaku & Ighalo have been better despite Vardy's scoring exploits.

Bellerin - Alderweireld - Smalling - Monreal

Mahrez - Payet - Ozil - Vardy (can feasibly play out wide as per your requirements)

Ighalo - Lukaku

I know you wanted 4-4-2 but I couldn't think of any defender that I wanted to include ahead of Cabaye/Coutinho who would have to be dropped. Maybe Fuchs!
