@CamTheDad, watch the above tutorials 👍
A source like this should definitely be cut in 250x, plus there's some snow in the hair.

definitely, thanks!
definitely, thanks!
I've moved this to here because you uploaded it for a different player with the same name.
Please try and leave only 2-3 pixels beneath the bottom of the chin and the bottom of the canvas. We aim for the focus of the cut-out to be the face as much as possible.
As you know, we also ask that all cuts must have a collar. In order that these two standards are maintained, the collar may need to be nudged upwards in some cases.
Here's a video explaining how this works:

I've re-opened this source with the above in mind 😉
thanks @mons i appreciate the tips will have them in mind in the future.

Always nice to see somebody interested in starting to cut 🙂
Instead of moving forward with cutting, I would suggest posting the original source and your cut for it in the tutorial thread so that we can give you more specific feedback on your work. This way, we would be sure that the cuts provided on this forum are definitely of the standard we aim for, and also so that you can eradicate these little issues from your cutting technique in the future 🙂

Have a look at this thread for more guidelines on what we expect on our cuts.
You could also watch these videos to show how easy it is to make cuts, one using Photoshop to do so and one using photopea.com

I think using this technique will improve your output greatly 🙂
