@RT7, I appreciate the hard work in getting these. But I don't think they should be requested.

They're fantastic sources, don't get me wrong but the vast majority of them are virtually identical to the current cuts.

We've just about managed to work through a massive backlog of images, and I'd like to avoid these kind of “unnecessary” requests, especially if they're coming from a cutter. Of course, if you or any other cutter decided to upload images like this as already cut and game ready, then they will certainly be taken into consideration and in most cases added to the megapack, but I would appreciate it if you and the rest of the community avoided requesting source packs like this from now on.

@mons  I understand what you mean, but I think 99% of the people playing FM are more eager to get recent updates from German clubs rather than a third division player from Zimbabwe. I personally find both important, and I believe that together we can manage to keep everything up to date.

I can appreciate that reasoning - but that does not mean our already overworked cutters should have them added to the existing list of pending images.  You're a very good cutter yourself - if you feel so strongly that they should be added to the megapack, then why should you need someone else to do them for you? I know you've taken 15 on, but the other 20 will still need to be cut by someone else. 

I'm not saying that I wouldn't like the cuts from these sources to be added to the megapack, I just don't see any value added to having them on the pending list instead of you cutting them. And is there really any value added in requesting this or this, for example? They might be newer, but they're identical to all intents and purposes. Of course, there is certainly a valid reason for requesting images like this or this, given the evident change in look. I just don't want there to be 15 pending packs of 2. Bundesliga teams with 25 images each, the bulk of which are virtually identical to the current cuts.

We have around 30 pending packs from the past week alone, and 35 pending individual image requests since yesterday evening. The community is producing around a dozen game ready packs or so per day, and we're barely keeping up with demand. The bulk of requests are actually from users who are perfectly good cutters themselves, which is not a particularly good of resources, I feel 😢

I believe we are all trying to complement each other. And no one is obligated to make cutouts. Everyone can do what they want and decide how much time they want to spend on it. I don't see a problem if there are a few packs in the queue. Should we always aim for perfection? I think the people making cutouts enjoy doing it. And everyone has the freedom to make as many cutouts as they want and can handle.

Absolutely, but the problem becomes when there are more than a few packs in the queue. I'm sure you would agree that we should strive to have as few pending images as possible, and as few of them as possible being from any more than a few weeks back. Up till the last couple of months, we had packs pending from months and months back. I'd like to avoid getting back to that situation and one way of doing that is to avoid having many big pending packs from cutters including sources which aren't really needed. Just keep that in mind when uploading sources, that's all I ask 🙂
