@michaelpinda, what tool and technique are you using? The source provided is quite sharp and focused, so I can't understand how the final cut is relatively out of focus. Same as the James Dunning cut, to be honest.
Using remove.bg gives me this image
Still needs some rotating, snow removal and resizing but it's much more focused than your cut. I also suspect it's not quite large for 250x250, but I'm at work and don't have Photoshop here; I'll have a go at it later when I'm home
