This is better @wannachupbrew - but it can be improved even further with a few minor tweaks 🙂

First of all, have a look at this thread for guidelines for cutters and video tutorials on what we expect for from our cuts.

a) For sources like this which are tilted to one side, it is recommended that you rotate your source before cropping it. It'll look much better in-game if it is fully upright. This is how to address this it:

b) Keep in mind every cut must include a collar, while the image is to be cropped no more than 2-3 pixels beneath it. Since in some sources, like presumably the one from which this image was cut, the person in the image may have a longer neck than usual or the collar is lower down, the above would be quite difficult to achieve naturally. Here's a technique of how this can be accomplished quite easily:

c) Thirdly, this image has a bit of snow at the edge of some of the hair:

There is a very quick and simple method on how to remove it:

Thanks, @mons. I found a much better source and had another go using your advice. How did I do?

Not bad but there aren't a lot of hair details. Going by the source image, which I've re-posted to save you having to look for it again 😉, I think a cut with more hair details can be gotten from it.

Can I ask what technique you used to remove the background? I recommend using remove.bg, which does the heavy lifting for you by removing the background in the source image, leaving you to only rotate, crop and/or nudge the collar upwards. It's tremendously easy to use and provides fantastic quality. With it, you can go from source to cut in a couple of minutes for the vast majority of images.

Here's a couple of videos on how to use it, one when combined with Photoshop and another using photopea.com, which is a free online app so close to Photoshop that it has the same shortcuts, layout and icons 😉 If you don't have Photoshop, photopea.com is the tool I would recommend to use to tweak the draft cut produced by remove.bg. It's more powerful and versatile than GIMP and other similar tools.

Okay, I'll try again using remove.bg

Much better, wouldn't you agree? And it really is easy to use 🙂

One very, very, very minor thing. I would have personally cropped it a few pixels further down to give it a bit of room to "breathe", but I'm fully aware that makes little sense and it's very much down to personal preference!

I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future if it'll be of this quality 👏

This team's sources from Getty should be quite straight-forward to get cuts from imo - if that's what you're aiming for, please save both of us some time and upload them as a pack rather than individually 😉
