I don't think you're maintaining the aspect ratio when resizing/cropping cuts. Compare your cut to the face in the source: yours is much wider.

Just how to keep these proportions? I will add that I use Photoshop 20
I don't have Photoshop 20 so I can't tell. Does the link given elsewhere by weeniehutjr not help?
Try Googling "maintain aspect ration photoshop 2020" to see if you get some guide that way

When resizing the image, make sure this is enabled, or that you hold down the Shift key when dragging the nodes at the corners of the selection box
