@Duracell.88, images like this are much too small to produce an improvement. If you're having difficulties in finding a good source image, have a look in this thread for some hints and tips on how and where to find the best possible sources for your requests.
ok no problem, I am just sending a few images i stumble with so you guys can filter. I'll have that in mind in the future. Thanks for your good work.

We have hundreds of uploads every day. It's important that requesters make our life that little bit easier by filtering the images they request before they do so 😉

You are right. I will take that into consideration. Thank you Mons.
Edit: What's the minimum size to consider a photo a proper upgrade?

It doesn't work like that, unfortunately. You can have an image with a large resolution but the face in it is small and/or blurry, or an image smaller in size but whose canvas is taken up almost entirely by the face. The latter is obviously preferable.
You have to use common sense to determine what the dimensions of the face are in any source and to then work out whether it's large enough to cut from.
Using the image you requested, it might be 800x651 in size, but once you crop the face (1st attachment), it's not even 200 pixels high, which means it'll need to be upscaled to reach 250 pixels in height. The source itself isn't of the highest quality, so this means any cut will be even more blurrier (2nd attachment).
With that in mind, it's not worth cutting as it won't be an improvement, even if it's more recent.

Ok thanks for the explanation and sorry for the trouble. I'll filter them from now on. Cheers
