@Bastiaans, I'm not sure what you're doing, but your cuts are coming to around 250kb+ each, which is a tad excessive since they should be around 100kb only.
I think directly from Photoshop I can reduce or compress the data at once when I change it to 250x250pixel, next time I will compress the final result even more
