I did but it didn’t change the Brazilian team names

Hi guys,

 

a bit of a weird thing happened to me. I have this long standing Fm2022 save with Middlesbrough and includEd all the fixes and everything worked great. But for some reason, when the new update was launched, it completely altered all of my stuff and now my Brazilian teams have three letter names again. I’m really upset at the idea of having to start the game all over again from scratch but the name changes are so annoying. 
 

please advise 

 

I'm thinking that's partially the problem, I'm playing with Swansea and while i actually thought I had a good enough team to play this tactic, I don't think I do so I'm getting a lot of possession and a LOT of shots on goal but getting done on the counter attack every time. Perhaps it is that I just need really good players to play this tactic and need to do something a bit more dramatic. Thing is, I could have sworn the old Swansea used to play that way. I would use Bournemouth as an example too but they are sucking at the moment.

Any ideas, I don't understand. I am losing to teams that I really shouldn't be. But I just can't stop conceding.

That was my initial thought - that it was the director of football but I checked through all of my settings and there definitely isn’t anything there that would suggest it was. Actually, I don’t think there is an option to let your DoF decide who to sell. Just buy I think. Either way, the guy was my main striker and it essentially forced him to leave so that wasn’t ideal.

This weird thing is happening.

I have a striker and the season has just ended and I get a notification that a player is unhappy for being transfer listed. But I didn’t transfer list him! I unlist him and then I find he’s listed again. Wtf is going on?

I quite like the idea of this. Would be cool especially if you are developing a team from the ground up.

Can someone explain to me the importance of player roles and tactical styles? Really confused.

Wait? Role familiarity doesn’t matter? But the little pitch on tactics will tell you that it is a disaster if you play the wrong person.

I've been playing FM and its iterations now for a number of years and while I have certainly struggled more in recent years to play this game, I think Football Manager 2019 may finally be the one that beats me. I genuinely don't know what I'm doing anymore.

The thing I think that is confusing me most is the style presets. Essentially, I don't know if I should be choosing one of the styles such as Tiki Taka etc and sticking to the recommended positions or whether I should be altering them to suit my team. More importantly, I am worried IF I start to tinker with the position roles, am I then slowly losing the tactic that was created for me. I.e. can I still play Tiki Taka if I decide I want an Advanced Forward rather than a Deep Lying Forward for example. Equally as important and baffling, I figure the moment I go into the settings and start altering the match tactics, then I am effectively going against the style I selected in the first point. Is that the point? How can I still be playing Tiki Taka if I change it? Does that make sense to you?

ANYWAY, I am totally flummoxed and now realising I know very little about how to properly balance a team. I even got sacked as Chelsea Manager in September which has got to be some sort of a record. If you guys can provide me with any tips that might help to enlighten me in this crazy journal, that would be great.
