Thank you for that, I've read the steps again and again. I must have misunderstood it every time until your message. Thank you for helping me (I've truly earned my title of noob).
Any tips for correcting the united logo? I have the logo template and miniature logo I just need them to work in the game now. Is there something I paste in the config file?

I've gone to advanced set up and cant seem to find any solutions.
Attached some screenshots for some context - you can see man utd name hasnt changed also the logo hasn't appeared there yet either. - also is the location of the files from sort it out si. I created the Editor Data folder in the fm22 location.
I'm at a loss.

Sorry I'm a proper noob. I've been trying to get this to work fully for the last 14 hours but no success.
The data editor bit (I think step 4 onwards) I can't seem to get right. Man ufc is still united name and juve is still zebre, ajax and Germany staff teams still not right.
I've created data editor folder in fm 22 and copied the files into that but hasn't worked, created additional data editor folders in the fm updates in data but didn't work.
Noticed that when starting a new game it doesn't give me the option of selecting database. Seems to be grayed out which might be the reason why it's not working I don't know. It's frying my head now haha. Total noob breakdown. Would appreciate any help..?
