I thought the ban came into place the next two windows? So they can still buy and register players in this window.

Don't know how Fellaini stayed on the pitch, plenty of fouls for two yellows. Then again, Mike Dean was arguably the poorest performer on the pitch.

Wow. First off, that Northampton fixture! 8 goals in the first half and then nothing in the second lol.

Fenwick was obviously playing a vital role other than in goals, that's a terrible run of form. Play off bound it seems, hopefully you won't come up against Yeovil there!

Everyone's favourite striker, Bendtner, could be on his way back to England with Newcastle United after the player according to the German papers! I guess it is a possibility given Cisse has failed to do anything since Ba left, De Jong I have not seen really play much - or never noticed him - and Mitrovic can't seem to find his feet. I still think teams are missing out on Crouch. He's just playing cup games for Stoke and could easily still do a job in the Prem in my opinion, at least for a mid table team or below.

Caulker joins Liverpool on loan for the rest of the season. So now Liverpool are even taking loan players from Southampton. Wasn't good enough to break in to the first team there though, and they've hardly been solid.

Caulker and Ilori, the new centre back partnership that strikers fear to come against at fortress Anfield? I'm half expecting it to become one of those legendary partnerships now just because it is so unlikely.

Hope Shelvey does well, but seems a bit of a strange move. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, the centre of the park seems an area Newcastle are probably adequate in and I don't think Shelvey improves it much if any. I do have a soft spot for him since he was on loan with us once and was a class above. Least he isn't another French import to the North East!

House of Cards season 4 is released on March 4th.

Good! Last season seemed more like half a season than a fully satisfying one.

We're away at Colchester in the 4th round if we beat Leicester in the replay. Might try and get to that if it happens, not too far for me to travel.

I was thinking about trying to go to that one too, if Spurs win. Work with a few Spurs fans and Colchester stadium is easy to get too.

Bournemouth bring in another striker, Grabban. One of those who is good at Championship level but never quite sure if he will cut it in the Prem.

Meanwhile Sunderland bring in N'Doye of Hull "fame". Don't see him making the difference, would have thought Crouch would be the better option. Re-unite him and Defoe as a strike partnership!

That was a wonderful goal. Didn't even realise until the replay that Montero backheeled it in!

Oxford Utd had been bossing it too and could/should have scored. The old adage about top league clinality.

What do Man United fans think of this possibility, Pochettino taking over from LVG?

Personally, I think he would be a better fit than Mourinho.

Benik Afobe to Bournemouth seems certain to happen then (personal terms to be decided yet). Has done very well for Wolves, but had his head turned in the summer by Prem teams and now seems to be on the way as the owner of the club is selling up. Don't imagine him setting the Prem alight ala Vardy, but could get a couple of vital goals to keep Bournemouth up!

So...the "Lineker" derby today, neither team putting out a first team from what the managers have said so it will probably be like watching a reserve fixture on the BBC this afternoon!

Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino: "It's not a distraction, the FA Cup is the oldest competition in the world. We respect the competition a lot. "But it's a good opportunity, maybe for some players who cannot play consistently play in the Premier League, to show their quality and fight for their place in the team."

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri: "We will change a lot, because these players deserve a chance to play.

Can't see any cupsets happening today, though of course I am hoping for a Scunthorpe victory!

So the BBC will show Liverpool reserves v Exeter tonight in the cup, surely a cupset is on the cards here? Ilori, recalled from Villa, is a confirmed starter in the centre of defence for Liverpool but who is fit enough to be his central partner? Other reserve loanees have been called back and are likely to feature for Liverpool, such as Ryan Kent and Kevin Stewart. Surely when they read the Liverpool line up the Exeter players will fancy their chances!

Just read through all of this, enjoyed it! Was worried you were going to end up with only your first 11 for a while there with all the injuries, mutual termination of contracts and players turning down loan moves to your side! Good to see you've managed to bolster the ranks now though and look forward to more updates. Just a shame it's with Hartlepool!
