Hi, I have a somewhat random question about cutout faces, specifically about the retired people in the standard game without mods. Right now there's a couple thousand of these people in the database, and I understand why there's no cutouts of them; their IDs don't show up unless you check these in the editor data and you'd only see said cutouts if they're linked (or if you link them) to awards or check club or team records, but most of these retired players already have former cutouts from before they retired so i was just wondering if there's any plan to include these in the megapack or if anyone was planning on making a accompanying retired faces pack? I don't know of course if the faces included should be recent or feature a cutout from their glory days should this ever happen.

Hi again, I am back and am looking for some feedback on some updated faces I did to see if I'm ready to submit game-ready faces or to work on a few. Paid attention to the pixels surrounding these, I also think I have the clone tool down for snow but let me now, and let me know if the lighting is ok or if I have to work on that. I'll send three I considered difficult and their sources so you can tell me what should be done differently.

Hi @Alexandre Mortier, I know the sources can't have been too good but the edges are a bit too jagged and I don't know what technique you're using to cut them. You're also, in almost all cases, leaving a big empty gap above the head. Any more than 2-3 pixels is a waste of screen real estate. You should also make sure to crop faces no more than 2-3 pixels beneath the chin, nudging the collar up if necessary.

Have a look at the first post to see some videos of how all these can be easily achieved. I would also suggest you post individual cuts in here and not loads of them at one go because if there's something which needs to be tweaked, it'll need to be tweaked for all of them instead of just the odd cut.

If you want to give them another go yourself, I would recommend using remove.bg, which is a free online tool which removes the background to an excellent standard, for free and almost instantly.

Here's a couple of videos on how to use it, one when combined with Photoshop and another using photopea.com, which is a free online app so close to Photoshop that it has the same shortcuts, layout and icons.

If you don't have Photoshop, photopea.com is the tool I would recommend to use to tweak the draft cut produced by remove.bg. It's more powerful and versatile than GIMP and other similar tools.

Ok thanks a lot. I'm going to review these videos in detail, use remove.bg and pay attention to the pixels and space above and beneath in particular. I'd love another crack at them but I won't have time until the end of the month turns out. So I'm going to upload what I think are the decent sources of this bunch (because you are right, source quality of most of these is not ideal) and try again with the others when I get back, maybe there will be better sources for them by then and if not might make for good practise; all of them are lower BeNeLux league faces so I don't think the demand for these is urgent. So thanks for the tips and patience and talk to you as soon as I get back then!

Hi everyone, kind of new to cutting (been posting sources and occasionally badly cut faces for about a year though) and looking for advice on how to improve so I can contribute to the pack whilst not too much time is wasted correcting what I upload. I'm having particular problems with figuring out lighting and how to improve that when the light isn't natural, the clone tool creating shadows behind the hair instead of an actual strand of hair, and lastly something I don't know is a program bug or just something with my specific photoshop app/computer; when I center a face, i try to stick to the guidelines, but then after I save the face, half the time the face has jumped slightly in a different direction and is no longer completely central when I check my saved pictures. (couldn't find anything about that in photoshop forums)

Anyways, I am sharing 50 faces I did today, feel free to tell me what I should work/focus on for improvement. I think about 45 of these are not in the pack yet so maybe I can finish them in time for the new update. By the way, apologies if I take a while to respond or if I disappear for a month or two and then reappear with questions. I travel a lot for work and just play fm and look into contributing when I am home and have access to my gaming computer which is usually a weekend a month. My diatribe aside, thanks for looking these over and taking the time to respond!

I appreciate the attempt @Alexandre Mortier, but since you're still starting out in producing cuts, it'd be better if you posted individual images in the tutorial and guidelines thread for now, and wait for feedback before uploading them on the forum. A lot of this pack aren't in line with the guidelines shown in the 1st post of the thread, and I'll be giving you some feedback here accordingly.

I'm marking them as complete, but a lot of them will need to be tweaked and fixed in order to meet the forum's guidelines.

An image like this, for example, should be rotated. Keep in mind that the face should be straight-on, rather than slanting or at angle; i.e. the eyes are ideally in a straight line and parallel to the top or bottom of the cut.

Oh… didn't dawn on me to just post some of these in the thread and ask for feedback on them first. I will definitely do that with the next batch before submitting to not waste your time until I get the hang of it. Thank you for the feedback.

Hi, question; for the young reds team, they recently put pictures of all their players on their website but all positions are stuck together when downloading. (tried screenshotting, didn't work for quality my apologies) but can the downloads with multiple players be used? (they seem slightly less pixelated but I'm on a crappy laptop so can't see it properly) If so I can just add these groups to one specific player of each group as a source :

Is this ok then? Sorry not all these sources are great quality btw (wanted to upload as many as I could find so if nothing else there's a reference for what some missing ones look like even if rejected)

#782063 Award names disappear after a while?

Hi, could anyone help me with this?

I've opened up FM for the first time since the final update, and every save encounters the same problem: some award names go missing after a while (see pictures)

Anyone else have this happen and know how to solve it?

I do have Artmoney but am inept at using it, I only use it to add pics to intermediaries, pa's, plo's, etc. I'm assuming there should be a way to solve this problem with that program, change the names of the missing awards somehow, but I have no idea how. If anyone knows how to do that and could share that could also be handy.

Thanks!
