Good point - I've recut it from the original source with the ensuing increase in image quality. I hadn't got round to checking it yet, but it's quite evident now that you mention it.

I think I've spoken to @jojokoning before to try and avoid using such tools and cut the original source images - cuts like this show why…

I have actually forget did i use the tools or not, i will try to avoid any image enlargement software in the future, thanks for the reminder.

Did another recheck it turns out the resolution is 500x500, should i upload the 250x250 or just leave it like that @mons ?

Please @jojokoning, when you have a lot of images, even if they are not from the same requested pack, upload them as a pack anyway. You save the time of uploading them one-by-one and I save the time of downloading them individually too…

I am sorry i did not know that thing is do-able at the first place, will do on the future cut👍

Images like this which are lacking in quality should be cut in 180x180, as having them in 250x250 only means their lack of sharpness is magnified @jojokoning

A few images in this pack and some of your other recent ones are also very clearly from poor sources (not your fault, I know). In those cases, there is no need to upscale them to 250x250. If the source image is small and/or of low quality, just cut it in 180x180. There are some which are just a blurry mass of pixels, and it might be worth considering whether they're even worth cutting in the first place tbh.

Thanks for the feedback, I think im gonna find a new source..

@jojokoning, keep an eye out for snow all around the head:

Here's a video on how to spot it and easily remove it:

Also, take care to maintain the aspect ratio when resizing images. I can't tell whether if it's the source image which was so bloated, but it seems a very unrealistic head shape. I've tried to correct it to a more realistic shape.

Finally, in cases like this, adding some auto-contrast and/or brightness (as applicable) will ensure the final cut looks that little bit better 😉

Good point, need to double check next time 👍

@jojokoning, it's good that you're moving the collar upwards, but there's no need to nudge them so far up. Having a little bit of collar on the same level of the chin or very slightly beneath it is enough, because the person otherwise looks like a hunchback 😉

Here's a post explaining this in more detail 👍

Thanks for the feedback, improving in next submission👍

It's likely that the source image for this cut was quite poor @jojokoning . When it's this small and lacking sharpness, do consider whether it's worth cutting in the first place, and whether its lack of quality will lead to a better 180x cut instead of 250x 😉

I think im gonna search for a new source instead doing 180x, thanks for the feedback

@jojokoning, if a source is this poor, it's better if the cut is in 180x180 instead of 250x250. I believe we've also spoken about the need for all cuts to include a collar, so please ensure they all do 👍

sorry for not noticing that, thanks for the feedback

Use photopea.com, it's a free online tool which is very similar to Photoshop. The same technique shown on the video can be utilized on it as well 👍

Okay thanks im gonna try it 👍

@Kevin Mahendra, we ask for all cuts to contain a collar within no more than 2-3 pixels of the chin, and for them to be cropped no more than 2-3 pixels above the head.

If the source image contains a collar which is lower down than that (as seems to have been in this case), use the below technique:

I'll tweak this one myself, but please keep the above in mind for any future cuts you may do 👍

Thanks for the advice and sorry for not noticing that thing, btw i dont have photoshop since its too big and laggy for my laptop, for next submission is it okay to cut it like i did or just put the source image ?
