I've been using FMXML for kits. For some reason, FMXML is outputting every file to the “home” variant. I don't think it was doing this before? What have I done wrong?

The final version of this database has now been updated. There are potentially some spoilers below, so if you're not up to date with the TV show, be advised.
Some details from the end of season three have not been included, also.

Some updated include:
Bumbercatch's nationality changed to Swiss
Coach Beard speaks fluent Dutch
Zava included in the team
Additional minor characters/players added (e.g. Bhargava)
Nate Shelley returned to AFC Richmond (as a coach, along with Will Kitman, as there is no kit manager roles within the game)
George Cartrick managing West Ham
Club will not play in the Champions League in the first season (treated as promoted, as per the beginning of season three)
Ted Lasso is still the manager, Roy Kent is still a coach

There will be an alternative "real-time" database version very soon where Roy Kent is the manager of the club, their second place finish will be in effect, and the club will play Champions League football in the first season, as well as Jamie Tartt and Sam Obisanya having earned international caps.

I've not seen the final two episodes so correct me if I am wrong, but regarding the International Caps. Wasn't Sam Obisanya not given a callup? Zoreaux and Rojas were given callups, too in episode 10

I didn't notice this when I brought up the Dutch/French issue, but the "Ajax backroom staff" FAQ also links to FM22's namefix

The page link for the “Dutch/French Images” FAQ links to the FM22 version of the namefix, I assume by now it is supposed to link to the FM23 version of the namefix?

@Lydia TrashCløwn Google often shows linkedin results that are just images that person has liked/shared, so it's worth double-checking before spending time on cutting it 👍

I did find the LinkedIn page, but a lot of pages require you have your own to be able to see anything more than where they were born

I suspect it's simply that it's such an old file that it's no longer being hosted.

Apologies if this isn't the correct place to ask, I'm not sure where exactly to ask. Is there any specific reason I receive a Cloudflare timeout error when trying to download any packs older than v7.00? I have been assuming it's something related to the recent release of 2023.05 but I'd like an authoritative voice to my question. Thanks.

@Lydia TrashCløwn, good work but if a source image is small or lacking sharpness, it's best if it's cut in 180x180, instead of 250x250 😉

This thread contains guidelines for what we're looking for in our cuts in terms of dimensions, snow, collars, face orientation etc. and video tutorials for each element.

If you want to give it another go yourself, I would recommend using remove.bg, which is a free online tool which removes the background to an excellent standard, for free and almost instantly.

Here's a couple of videos on how to use it, one when combined with Photoshop and another using photopea.com, which is a free online app so close to Photoshop that it has the same shortcuts, layout and icons.

If you don't have Photoshop, photopea.com is the tool I would recommend to use to tweak the draft cut produced by remove.bg. It's more powerful and versatile than GIMP and other similar tools.

@mons By snow, do you mean that bit of white border? I had a feeling my submission would get rejected as the source was difficult to work with

I've a weird graphical bug where in the Premier League table, Man Utd doesn't have a logo. Not even a default FM logo. I've got their logo in my files and the “code” added into the config file. It's pretty weird how even the default FM logo doesn't show. Any help from anyone?

@Lydia TrashCløwn, for future images like this in which the head is tilted to one side, do consider rotating the source before cropping it. The ideal cut has the head fully upright 🙂

Good work @Lydia TrashCløwn, but please keep in mind that we want all cuts to include a little bit of collar. At the same time, the ideal cut only contains 2-3 pixels beneath the chin. Since in some sources like this one, the person in the image may have a longer neck than usual, this would be quite difficult to achieve naturally.

Here's a video of the process on how to nudge the collar upwards:

Not to worry, I'll fix this one myself, but please keep it in mind for future cuts 🙂

I appreciate it. It's difficult to remember this stuff at times.

Do try to crop closer to the top of the head, leaving a gap of 2-3 pixels, otherwise it's a bit of a waste of space
Also there is no need to nudge the collar up that far, having just a few pixels showing is enough 👍

All this has made me very anxious so this will probably be my last upload. Thanks for the help 🖤
