#878091 TMC Finalissima reactivated
The Modelcitizen
This is for FM24
#853263 2024 CONCACAF teams in Copa Libertadores (MLS, MX)
The Modelcitizen
Haven't got it yet, so far the editor feedback is mixed. I'm sure at some point I'll get the urge to get stuck in, but if anyone else wants to have a go I can help with any questions
#848699 FM24 USA to D4 (now with San Diego FC)
The Modelcitizen
Yeah good point, I remember some FM players used to edit the draft class with FMRTE every year to make it worthwhile, but it's obviously better just having them come out already polished via good facilities and coaching.
Currently some of the MLS Academies have decent setups, but at a certain point they're then distributed to USL2 teams (seemingly randomly), and then they get 14 to 18 or so senior games and part-time or amateur training in poor facilities
#844358 FM24 USA to D4 (now with San Diego FC)
The Modelcitizen
If MLS does change it's schedule then NCAA would work even better, right now I guess you'd have the fall season crown the champion like IRL and then the spring season would have a series of exhibitions? Ideally the game would then see summer as the off-season (and loan guys to USL2 teams, but I haven't thought of a way to make that happen)
#844138 FM24 USA to D4 (now with San Diego FC)
The Modelcitizen
Agreed, sucks they don't have the NCAA rights, you can even see when some younger players in the DB move from an MLS academy to a college in real life, they just remove them from the DB (or at least from the version we can see). They have that weird “US college system” extinct club for history entries but it's not applied consistently,
USL2 and NCAA have so much player (and even coach) overlap, it would be hard to replicate that properly, which is why I always see it as one or the other. Plus with USL2 already set up as part of the MLS draft, and some of the USL2 divisions (but not all) are hard-coded to produce newgens for that draft, NCAA would fit nicely over top of it. But we might be able to get creative and think of a way to have both
#844134 FM24 USA to D4 (now with San Diego FC)
The Modelcitizen
Sounds tempting, let's reconnect when it comes out and we get a look at the editor. I'm based in Canada so the NCAA thing isn't as high on my radar (other than Division 2 team SFU based around here) but I know it's a big part of an ideal US database, maybe by dropping the USL2 completely (doesn't make a lot of sense to have both IMO). Can think about this some more
#843731 FM24 USA to D4 (now with San Diego FC)
The Modelcitizen
Thanks for the feedback, for now I might not touch the team structure until I see how FM26 is for editing, it might be full steam ahead in FM26 at that point. As for recent updates, nothing major, just some small things like adding the Baja Cup (midseason friendly between San Diego and Tijuana) and other derbies and stuff that emerged in 2025. If you run this with my Leagues Cup and Liga MX files the North American universe is even more expanded to realism
#842867 9 NEW REAL COUNTRIES IN FOOTBALL MANAGER 2024: Monaco, Vatican City, Greenland, Palau, Nauru, Marshall Islands, Rapa Nui, Somaliland and Saint Helena
The Modelcitizen
Some of the “base” files he's taken of my work are older files with some bugs before updates in the Spring - he didn't credit or message me so I wasn't aware, we could have worked on something compatible. As it is, you might lose random default countries from the national tournaments after a few years. And he has the gall to ask for money at the end of his post!
#842756 [FM23.4] CONCACAF club fix
The Modelcitizen
Sorry, this is for FM23. A couple of weeks ago I found another minor issue with some of the default settings while working on something else, so I updated it (literally 1 or 2 minor rule changes). That must have bumped it to the top of the forum, I'll try and edit it so it's clear that it's FM23.
For FM24, try the CONCACAF files here: https://community.sports-interactive.com/forums/topic/579550-fm243-tmc-megapack/
#841938 Indonesian League 2025/2026
The Modelcitizen
Mods, can you do anything about this AI junk promoting an external website
#839882 Update daily
The Modelcitizen
Manager appointments are especially tricky across different files, always good to first go into the club, set manager to “none” to try and record a change, and then add the existing manager, should help override any changes from other files. Same with when changing a manager's club, not only change their “club” but also try and click on “manager (first team)” just to try and record that change too
#839669 [FM23] Persian Gulf Pro League (Iran)
The Modelcitizen
FM23 yes. What do you want to know
#838600 FM24 USA to D4 (now with San Diego FC)
The Modelcitizen
The last official update made some of the rosters non-compliant, so players were getting cut right off the bat. I've sorted this out with some IRL moves, and in the process added some of the big DPs like Son at LAFC, Muller at Vancouver etc
#837108 FM24 USA to D4 (now with San Diego FC)
The Modelcitizen
Open Cup, Leagues Cup etc are up to date.
As for leagues, it's much work removing all the dead teams, adding new ones, moving rosters around (this is the big one), creating and tweaking players etc. That can be a project for someone else, if they did then I'd consider adding it here. Or if people have a specific city/team they want included I could do a custom version.
#833297 [FM24] FIFA Intercontinental Cup (Dec. 2024 FIFA tournament)
The Modelcitizen
Cheers, are you running any other files that touch continental tournaments? Wonder if the last update did something
#822908 TMC Saudi Pro League
The Modelcitizen
Ah cheers I must have uploaded the wrong one last time I updated it! It's fixed now. Keep in mind, the transfer AI is essentially broken in these big-spending leagues where most of the domestic players are relatively low-reputation. The big teams cut all their Saudi players within the first few transfer windows and can't make the registration so they have to play greyed-out youth players. Not really playable
#821571 Auckland FC to the A-League (now with All Stars Game)
The Modelcitizen
Updated to be cross-compatible with jimdownunder's epic NZ database (you'll need to download the graphics again as it's using a different unique ID for Auckland than before)
#821289 [FM24] FIFA Intercontinental Cup (Dec. 2024 FIFA tournament)
The Modelcitizen
Check the Libertadores file, it explains what happens with CONCACAF. In short, CONCACAF has a final stage that takes results from the Libertadores group stage (you can see it set up in-game when the Libertadores groups finish). The team with the best record from their 6 games “wins” the CCL. I figured it was better to actually crown a continental champion for Club World Cup, Intercontinental Cup etc. If the same team wins both North and South America, I think the Libertadores runner-up will be called alongside them
#819449 FM24 USA to D4 (now with San Diego FC)
The Modelcitizen
Will believe it when I see it. Too tricky atm to have it kick in after a few seasons, especially trying to make USL a top division alongside MLS. Interested to see other peoples' attempts at it though
#818282 San Diego FC - MLS Expansion Team & MLS Update (Updated Transfers 27/02/25) ~500 New Players Added w/ Graphics
The Modelcitizen
I think you can start in 2025 if you mess with the “start date” in the editor, who knows what issues with MLS' hard-coding that would throw up though. If you're doing an NCAA expansion of my US file go nuts, just be aware that any bug fixes/QoL updates I do as people flag them won't be reflected in yours (mention that when giving credit)
#818280 FM24 USA to D4 (now with San Diego FC)
The Modelcitizen
No, too much work removing all the dead teams, adding new ones, moving rosters around, creating players etc, right now it's mostly 2023-based with some slight changes to squeeze in the incomplete updates the USA researchers did for 2024 (like adding Spokane, Carolina Core and a few other teams). All cups and comps are accurate to 2024. If anything I might get bored and change Open Cup, Leagues Cup etc so they use the new 2025 IRL format starting in 2025
#818153 San Diego FC - MLS Expansion Team & MLS Update (Updated Transfers 27/02/25) ~500 New Players Added w/ Graphics
The Modelcitizen
Oh yeah, I forgot I used them too, will brainstorm other ideas.
Re: Chivas' name appearing, I wonder if some people have a real name fix that touches CUSA for some reason… if so they can find the offending line in the real name fix file (can open in notepad) and delete it
#818119 San Diego FC - MLS Expansion Team & MLS Update (Updated Transfers 27/02/25) ~500 New Players Added w/ Graphics
The Modelcitizen
Would this work better as an add-on? Like, if I rejigged my DB so san diego used an existing unique ID instead of a created one, you could have your add-on that would (as long as it came after alphabetically) override any changes I made to SD, and player contracts, etc. Then it could just be an add-on so people can use your SD work with my lower league db if they want. Also means that when my DB is subject to random bug fixes and stuff they get the fixes when they start a new game
#806570 Auckland FC to the A-League (now with All Stars Game)
The Modelcitizen
Sounds like a skin/graphics issue, might be able to find help in that forum
#806311 Auckland FC to the A-League (now with All Stars Game)
The Modelcitizen
There might be another graphics pack you have that's overriding it? Other than that option to reload the skin from preferences I think these steps should all work
#805808 Auckland FC to the A-League (now with All Stars Game)
The Modelcitizen
Check their unique ID (it's an option under preferences) and you might have to slightly adjust the config file in each graphics folder to correspond. If you're using other DBs that create teams (and come before this one alphabetically) it will throw off the numbering
#804881 TMC Euro 2028 hosted in Britain and Ireland
The Modelcitizen
Updated the OP with the option of an alternate version where the Euro 2028 hosts play a four-team Nations Cup in 2027 to make up for missing out on Euro qualifying.
#804786 [FM24] FIFA Intercontinental Cup (Dec. 2024 FIFA tournament)
The Modelcitizen
Ahh yes records need to be inputted in order to be overwritten. I'm not sure if just setting it to “none” will help, I'll try that.
I wonder if the overachiever/underachiever is from the final only, because the other stages are sort of their own comps now. And since it needs to pick one of each it just goes with winner/loser
#804701 [FM24] FIFA Intercontinental Cup (Dec. 2024 FIFA tournament)
The Modelcitizen
@Anben10 Try it now, I've gone with the separate comps inside the main competition (similar to how MLS Cup is used within the MLS playoffs but playing with some of those checkboxes for best effect). It's showing up under “Landmarks” so should function a bit better now. Appreciate the feedback, always interested to hear how people are using the files and if they can use improvement like this
The stage names/rounds might look a bit off so let me know if I've missed anything. This might still not be perfect - the other option is to fully separate them into different comps, but I feel like they should be sort of included under the same umbrella
#804570 [FM24] FIFA Intercontinental Cup (Dec. 2024 FIFA tournament)
The Modelcitizen
TCM is a diff guy who does graphics, lol, but yes it's confusing. It didn't award the trophy? I'll take a look but I believe a team needs to have their league active to see their honours like that
