Hi mons, just a quick question. Do you know a good free program to convert images at all? I'm using FastStone program and it works great but I seem to only be able to make iconfaces at either 25x25 or 18x18, was hoping to find a way to make mine 25x18 to be consistent with the facepacks from here is all (and I do the same with newgan images too, lol). But any advice/tips would be most appreciated, ta!

I made this, only has 28 faces (250x250) and iconfaces (25x25). Feel free, and if there's others I missed just hit me up.

Naturally, I use the sortitoutsi Real Name files from here so these are only mapped to that. 🙂

Hi guys.

I've been trying and really am struggling to read how to edit a couple of panels to make a few tweaks, if someone could help that would be amazing. I've tried to read the skinning knowledgebases and just keep making mistakes and/or getting lost. So frustrating! 

I've added the panels/configs I'd like edited (in a WinRAR file) and below I'll pop into a spoiler of what I'm hoping to get help with. For me, I'll probably explain things poorly as I just don't understand enough, but to people that create these skins and such, it could be something so simple that I just don't understand (I hope!!!)

(I'm using the FM24 Base Skin, not the lite, advanced, or transparent versions. Unless they would be better but I belive I could use these panels in those versions of the skin too if I use one of those).

If anyone can help, that would be absolutely wonderful. And by all means, if anyone can make use of these panels to highlight these UID numbers and other info, feel free of course. Thanks fo reading!

In the first panel, journalists, I have it like so…

 

 As shown, the full name of the journalist is partly hidden, but I'd love also to add the date of birth, keep the national flag, and if possible, have the ‘r-’ show if it's a regen character. But to also leave the person's image location where it is too.

 

A mini-profile, so to speak. Ideally like this: With the image to the left about the same size as the 3 lines of info nest to it but with room in the tab/panel for any potential long names or double barrel names and using the standard game font also. This is what I was hoping to see, with the image to the left:

For the 2nd panel, that's a bit trickier to explain, but I'll do my best.

 

I'd like to get a couple of changes to the news panel in the inbox. The first image shows the news at default:

 

 

I'd like to keep to as close as possible most of all please as I want to edit other aspects as I learn more too (as I'll be looking to compare any config files I may get to the ones I'm using so I can see the differences in code etc etc)

 

And this is the news panel after I've added the panel/config I'm using:

 

 

I'd love to get someone to help tweak the inbox panel so it's much slimmer like the default news header in the first picture, but with a couple of info tweaks to look more like this, keeping the club logo and person images like the default look above too.

 

I'd like the news headline to be the top line, in the same font. With the person's name and that button (where applicable) and their role in brackets still. Under that I'd like their national flag and date of birth, and the UID number under that with the ‘r-’ if applicable please. To look like this:

Quick question. I know we need to seek out the unlicenced staff images ourselves, I was just curious is it just the Ajax backroom staff not included or are there more? Is there a known amount/list of people not licenced that have since been added using the sortitoutsi real name fix files?

Oh. Ot looks like he's changed that aspect. I downloaded an earlier version of the skin (V3) and that does show the number. 

If you can find a copy of that version, that'll do it but I can upload my copy of V3 a bit later once near the PC. Sorry about that as I hadn't noticed the change there!!

Here you go, apologies for the misinformation. 😀

Download the skin and install the skin and once done, reload your game and reload the graphics like when adding other images and once you get a message from the staff member you want to change, their number should show up in their message box.

Don't forget to add the -r fix to the configuration file once you find the number of the PA/PO/PLO. 

Download the sas skin 24 from these forums, he's added a feature that shows every regen's number as and when messages come through.

Like you, I couldn't crack that nut but this skin was a real gem. I load a new game, use the skin to find out these numbers during my first few days at a club and then quickly edit the config file for these 3 folk once I have it all. It's a bit stop-start to begin with but a really handy feature indeed.

The skin itself is pretty darn cool too!

Been slowly learning more about graphics, skins, newgan and the like. Couldn't figure out how to find the ID numbers for the personal assistant, press officer and liason officer. But this skin highlighting these numbers is just the ticket!

I'd probably use that to help draw folk in, lol.

If you have the default game images, they'll show as normal still. And if you've downloaded any packs, they'll also show once they've been installed correctly.

There's many logo packs in the downloads section here, just head over and search the FM2024 Essentials section as there's many choices to really enhance the game with logos, kits, and so on and all the tutorials/instructions needed. 

Just to follow up. All seems well. Working as expected and as said, just a few hundred off between the 2 folder counts.

I'll return once all is unpacked and updated to double check. Only the last 2 times I've done these this week, I keep getting less ‘iconfaces’ than ‘faces’ and I'm confused where the error is occouring.

Yeah, the update packs will, that's nothing unexpected.

I was meaning when I unzip the initial 2024.00 megapack, I get the prompt to overwrite files too. Just best to be sure I'm selecting the right option so the base pack isn't faulty to begin updating as that'll only increase errors i imagine. 🙂

Is it normal to be prompted to ‘confirm file replace’ when extracting the megapack 2024.00?

I downloaded via torrent and I did select to replace the files, the total faces from ‘Megapack 2024.00’ is 435,704. Just wanted to be sure I chose the right option before adding the 3 update packs where I know I'll have to replace copies of course. *edit, I have no previous packs installed etc, thought may be relevent.
