I have to say that there was very little wrong with the majority of your cuts, or at least very little wrong which couldn't be avoided by taking a very little bit more time ensuring each cut is perfect. Some of the cuts needed a bit of centering but that's nothing major. I agree with what marrtac said, basically, and you're really not far off from being a very good cutter indeed.

I'd recommend that, as well as practicing on the occasionally poorly-sourced individual images, you attempt some of the older uncut teampacks, some of which have very decent sources indeed This way, you would be refining your technique as well as clearing the request list and adding to the MP image count. Win-win

Thanks Mons some very kind words , ill maybe try an older uncut teampack for the meantime, will yoiu cut Germany then

My recommendation to both you and stefanraven is to have another go at the same sources with the intention of producing even better cuts since that is, imo, the best way to learn There's not much wrong at all with both your technique, just minor adjustments to ensure that the excellent sources are given the treatment they deserve

In the meantime, although I'll check both the Germany and Switzerland packs in case there's improvements or cuts that I can fix, I'll leave both in the OP of the teampack request for the time being...

Please someone do Germany, as im going to practice on individual cut outs until ive totally mastered cutting out......thanks

All have some leftover background around the image exm1 exm2 Some of them have still have snow in they hair(Klose one of them) or a missing shirt. And Lahm has part of his chin cut off.

They don't look bad, but in my opinion the sources are so good that the cuts can be even better. Try to tilt the head a bit more, your first image is slightly tilted. The other two images look like they're missing shoulders, but maybe it's because the shoulders are white. Always try to have some collar visible. Other than that your cuts aren't too bad, but those WC sources all deserve extremely good cuts, because they'll be some of the better sources around.

Ok m8 thanks for the little pointers as I'm still learning but practice makes perfect as they say...Should I let someone else do Germany or will I be up to the job

lol your computer will not blow up 3g is only your ram size, what is the size of your hard drive. Im sure its bigger than 6 gig, mines is 2 time 500 gb so i have 1 tera bite of memory so 6 gig will barely even make a mark on my hard drive, i also have 8 gb memory ram which basically just makes your machine work better, so now do you understand

Ive been trying for days now but cant seem to pick up the technique for getting nice perfect cuts, i have photoshop cs6 but there are no video showing from start off a cut to end of a cut out there to follow, the only tutorials that are here are ones for removing snow etc, heres the complete list of tutorials.

Practical Guide to Refine Edge in CS5, including video tutorial on images, by Yallii

How to improve Exposure Problems
Not a video tutorial, but this post includes clear instructions on how to use Vertus within CS5 to cut images.

As you can see from above there tutorials basically telling you how to burn and image, transparancy changes etc, so what im asking if some nice cutter could guide me through start to finish to making a cut for example getting image the exact steps to doing you cut also how to size image etc as i really want to learn. Thank you

If your using Photoshop and have refine edge, follow this guide LINK. Take your time as well, it's really hard when you first start, but when you start picking it up it'll come a bit easier

Hey guys, im learning to cut out player pics and everything is going fine, im using Paint.net as its free and very easy to use, the only problem im getting is i dont know how to remove a little snow around the player also i can seem to soothen my jaggy edges, anyone able to help me.
