So that is a bummer from what you are saying. I've spent 52 hours over 3 weeks on this save, and now to find out that I'd need to start over to make it work properly is gut-wrenching

Now, if you coded it so that the season prior's, results get to go, then that still wouldn't make sense for HB, as they haven't been in the top 4 at all UNTIL this season, where they are 2nd place behind Auckland. Looking at the previous teams that have gone to the CL, they all were either table winners or runners up during that season.

Last season: https://gyazo.com/75f7245952819343d3755cda58b144ab
Could it be that the continental qualifications have been misplaced so that it only selects the top 2 teams on the table at the time of the CL draw? If so, how did that even happen?

So you put the tactic within the Tactics folder in your Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2018 section, and then within Football Manager you go to your tactic screen and load in the tactic.

See, I always thought GA players were the best in class of the draft, and always tended to draft them when I can.
At the same time, I tend to stay away from building my squad through the draft, often trading picks away from players, international slots, or GAM for high wage players.

Because the challenge is hard as it is, the creators added the allowance of promotion in lieu of winning the title to count towards your trophy count. Makes it slightly easier.

League Cup and Scottish Cup are there, my mistake, but the other trophies still need a ruling on. Need to know if, like the old Setanta Cup before it, that trophy just needs to be won in one nation or all three.

And what's the premise you ask? Win every trophy within the five recognized nations in the extended definition of the region: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Finland.
If my maths are correct, that's 23 cups/league titles to win, significantly shorter than the British Steel Challenge's number, but I feel no less difficult in achieving. And for good reason, too, since you'll be following the same rules as with the British Steel Challenge:
- No prior footballing experience and no coaching badges to start.
- Starting either unemployed or with a team of your choosing
- You must only use Norwegians, Swedes, Danes, Icelanders, and Finns in your first team. Meaning....
- A complete restriction on non-Scandinavian players in the matchday squad. ie. They cannot be played in first team matches.
- Addendum: you can loan the non-Scandinavian players out or send them to the reserves if you cannot sell them outright. They just cannot be in the matchday squad
Much like with the British Steel's rules on winning trophies, I will permit the counting of non-league champion promotions (aka playoff promotions) as winning the league title to help further your progress along. Please let me know what you think of this, as in theory it sounds like a decent challenge to undertake. The question is, would you be able to best it?

No badges to start. You can get them progressing through the challenge.

Now, this is something I've never really thought of. I only looked at it from the perspective that you can only play British/Irish players, therefore only sign those players. Seeing what you're talking about (signing and loaning out with the intention of resale), I guess as long as you don't play them in your first team, then I don't see why you can't do that.

Also, I couldn't help but think you we're going all Harlem Heat in the title, Danny Ray and Shedender T, and it seems very fitting to use this picture:
Let it be known that on my personal Twitch (twitch.tv/rlkdragon), I've also taken up the mantle of re-doing the British Steel in live stream format. Since FM13 and FM16, there's been some trophies added and removed, and I felt I wanted to give it a go again. I started it back in January, and I also have 8 trophies to my name. If you want to check it out, don't hesitate to follow, I stream on weekend nights.
And finally: Good luck, boys! We all need it for this one!
