Very early on but a positive start nontheless.

What's your predicted finish for this season??

Indeed it has been a positive start and it's important we keep going!

We're predicted to finish were I finished last season, so eleventh place and it's definitely doable.

Nice start of the season. Keep it up!

Cheers.

Brilliant league form mate! Shame about the second leg of the Europa League tie! Must of felt well confident going into that! Oh well focus on securing a CL spot for next year! Celtic continue to run away with it!

We have been outstanding mate minus the five league games that we've lost. They're forgettable.

I'm absolutely gutted about what happened in Europe but unfortunately these things happen so I will not let it get me down and I will concentrate on the league in our quest to qualify for Europe next season as we haven't done that yet.

We ended the previous month with a five match unbeaten run and we entered February looking to stretch our unbeaten form in the league as we played four league matches, as well as a Scottish Cup fifth round tie away from home and we also faced Spanish side Athletic in the Europa League first knockout stages.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Vbf3kibUAys2EKd5XhGRGibLcsPUE6n8hgFywjN8.jpg

We started the second month of twenty sixteen with a home clash against Dundee United and we disposed of them three nil with Bustos firing us into the lead with three first half minutes remaining and the lead was doubled early in the second period through Nimely before the same man added his second and our third after sixty seven minutes.

Our next game was a Scottish Cup fifth round tie away at East End Park against Dunfermline and we progressed to the next stage thanks to a two goal victory as Ramsay and Nimely scored a goal apiece in either half.

We then travelled to Hamilton Academical in what was expected to be a tough game and it proved that way despite us securing a two nil win we were made to work and broke the deadlock in first half stoppage time through Nimely and the points were sealed with fifteen minutes left to play as Faure headed home.

It was time for the Europa League first knockout stage first leg against Athletic Bilbao and we headed into the second leg at San Mames with a two nil lead with Black getting us off to a dream start as he converted a penalty after just seven minutes before substitute McKay put gloss on the score with a second in the final fifteen minutes.

Back to league action and we faced Aberdeen at Ibrox and had to come from behind to pick up maximum points. The Dons took the lead on twenty eight minutes through Hayes and it remained that way until five minutes into the second half because we were awarded a spot kick that Black converted, eleven minutes later we were awarded another spot kick and yet again Black converted. Our points were sealed whenever we were awarded a third penalty as the game was entering stoppage time and Black converted his third spot kick to complete his treble - Milsom was sent off for two yellow cards for Aberdeen in stoppage time.

The second leg of the Europa League first knockout stage was one to forget, despite taking a two nil lead to Bilbao we crashed out of the Europa League, losing three nil on the night in Spain to exit the competition three two on aggregate. Truth be told, we were absolutely brutal in the second leg and deserved to crash out.

Our final game of the month saw us host Dundee and it was a routine day as we picked up maximum points in a three one win as Bustos and Nimely both scored to give us a two goal half time lead before the ex Man City striker added a third after forty eight minutes, McIntosh grabbed a consolation for Dundee.

Celtic have secured a spot in Europe already for next season as they STILL remain unbeaten and look set to break the one hundred goals and points barriers.

We are still in second place after a successful month and we've opened up a twelve point gap on third place St. Mirren and a thirteen point gap on Partick Thistle so if I can keep the current form up then I'm certain we'll finish in the runners-up spot, which will be a tremendous league finish for a newly promoted side. I don't think we'll be able to catch Celtic for a few seasons yet, unfortunately unless they have a terrible season.

Bar the defeat against Celtic a good couple of months buddy! Well done qualifying through the groups, huge financial reward for that!

Cheers mate, appreciate every comment you leave me.

I've to be honest pal, I didn't expect to beat Celtic as they're a cut above me and everyone else in the league but apart from them it's still been an absolutely quality season to date. We're currently beating expectations as per usual although we were predicted to come third in the league anyway due to the size of the club/talent I have in the squad.

We face Spanish side Athletic in the first knockout stage, get through that and we'll face the winners between Hannover and Manchester City.. ouch. I'm not expecting to get through anyway.

The final month of twenty fifteen was a quality month minus the league draw at Hearts and the Europa League defeat in Madrid. With the New Year upon us we played another seven games with six of those being in the league while the month ended with a League Cup semi final at Hampden Park against St. Johnstone.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/GAS1UxIlYaNzV4sngZLHYyY6UNm1FStofjE2DNlM.jpg

Our opening game of the month was an Old Firm derby clash with run away leaders Celtic in front of a fifty thousand strong crowd at Ibrox, the game wasn't one to remember for the home fans as the Celts powered to victory with Russell, Ledley and Wanyama on target. We're not in Celtic's "league" at the moment and the performance proved that.

We managed to bounce back in our next fixture as we made the trip to Inverness Caledonian Thistle and headed home with a deserved three one win. As both sides looked set to head to the interval level Bustos broke the Caley Thistle resolve to give us the lead in the second minute of stoppage time before two goals in eight second half minutes from Bustos that saw him get his second and Cabral sealed the points despite Charge grabbing a late consolation for the hosts.

We stayed on the road with a trip to struggling Motherwell and we could only manage to pick up a point as Nimely's seventy first minute goal cancelled out the Well's opener, which was an own goal from Stech who could only divert the ball into his own net, it's a game we should've won though easily.

St. Johnstone visited Ibrox next for a league game and we struggled to a single goal victory, after a scoreless first forty five minutes the deadlock was broken in the sixty fifth minute when youngster Ramsay found the target and that turned out to be the goal that separated the sides.

Our next game saw us travel to Firhill to face Partick Thistle looking for revenge following that unacceptable four nil defeat a few months ago and we did get revenge but only after the home side had missed a penalty before Nimely opened the scoring for the visitors but then we missed a spot kick ourselves through Black before Bustos' seventy seventh minute goal sealed the points.

The final league game of the month was at home to Hearts and we had to fight from two down to salvage a point but we definitely should have picked up all three as we were outstanding at Ibrox. The away fans were sent into raptures inside the opening five minutes as Sutton scored and it stayed like that until the hour mark as Driver doubled the lead. Hearts' lead was cut in half six minutes later as Nimely found the target and the comeback was complete whenever Ramsay managed to find space to smash the ball home.

January ended with a Scottish League Cup semi final clash against second bottom St. Johnstone and we eased to the final in front of a small crowd at the National stadium, left winger Cabral gave us the lead after twenty three minutes with Nimely doubling the lead however Murray halved the deficit just before half time. The underdog's hopes of causing an upset ended when Moffat was shown a straight red on fifty seven minutes and then Bustos and Nimely sealed the win. We will face runaway leaders Celtic in the final.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/q3J6SRINQGEfvvCIaWXShqJDdjlTbBZr837m2z0r.jpg

Following a successful January that only saw us drop points three times (two draws and one defeat) we are in second place and seven points clear of St. Mirren who are still a threat for that runners-up spot but we're also nineteen points behind Celtic who it's just a matter of time before they wrap up the title but I hope they don't go through an unbeaten season.

I've only made the one signing in the January transfer window:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/f1w1ffegDFpFVsh9IGtgqAbOSlReZ0A5Oc2igHxJ.jpg

So without further ado I am pleased to announce that nineteen-year-old Czech Republic player Stourac has arrived at the club, penning a four-and-a-half-year deal. The left winger arrived at the club for a fee of forty five thousand pounds from Slavia Prague and he's going to back-up for the time being.

I had to make the signing due to me cutting Balanta's loan deal short. He was whinging about not getting game time so I've decided to send him back to Queens Park Rangers were he's currently in the reserve team so I bet he won't get game time there, oh well, Balanta wasn't that good anyway.

With a decent November behind us minus the defeats away to Spartak Moscow and Partick Thistle we entered what turned out to be an extremely busy final month of the year with no less than seven matches, five being in the league and two in Europe as we progressed from Group D in the Europa League.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ONSJYRbhkPvehLcaabqvbvt7EhxuCmA2Tyl7c3ef.jpg

A crowd just shy of forty nine and a half thousand welcomed Ukrainian side Dnipro as December started with Europa League action at Ibrox and we ensured advancement with one game remaining thanks to a two one success as we opened the scoring on thirteen minutes through Cuntz before Cabral doubled the lead five minutes later. The side from the Ukraine pulled a goal back just before the hour mark but we held on.

We returned to SPL action with a tough game against Hearts at Tynecastle and an even contest saw the points shared in a scoreless draw.

Our next game saw Hamilton Academical come to Glasgow and despite being second best against the high flyers we managed to pick up a valuable two one win with former Manchester City striker Nimely putting us into a two nil lead with two goals in a twelve minute period - Hamilton pulled a goal back after sixty seven minutes through Ward.

We travelled to the suburbs of Madrid to face Getafe who steamrolled to a three goal win, Dani scoring twice in the first half before an unfortunate own goal from our goalkeeper Stech and it could have been much more, we were brutal throughout but we had already progressed so it didn't matter.

Back to league action and we had to make the trip to Aberdeen and headed home with an excellent four one victory as right winger Ramsay put in a Man of the Match performance with two goals and two assists. The youngster broke the deadlock on thirty seven minutes before he doubled his tally early in the second half before he assisted for Cabral to tap home at the far post just four minutes later. The MOTM performance was sealed when he assisted for Cabral to score his second and our fourth two minutes after Massson had scored a consolation for the Dons.

Second placed St. Mirren was up next and a crowd of just over forty thousand saw a six goal thriller as we ran out four two winners on this occasion, Nimely got us to a dream start with a goal inside two minutes but he then had to wait until the forty second minute to get his and our second, The Buddies pulled a goal back on fifty eight minutes from the penalty spot before Bustos restored our two goal lead on seventy two minutes. St. Mirren made it a nervy final ten minutes as Reilly found the net but we scored a fourth as Nimely completed his hat trick in stoppage time.

And the month ended with a trip to bottom of the table Dundee and we bulldozed to a five two victory but we had to do it the hard way because despite Ramsay and Nimely putting us two nil up inside seventeen minutes, two goals inside three minutes from Bamford and Forster had saw Dundee equalise but the in-form striker's second of the game saw us take a three one half time lead. Central midfielder Black smashed home a fourth early in the second half before Neumann headed home goal five and that was the scoring complete. We had to play the final ten minutes with ten men as Faure was sent off for a dangerous challenge, he was subsequently fined after the game.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PKjMQfsQ3k5GjD0XJEJohdwMHyBhCEfpQA3WngAO.jpg

With the New Year approaching us we have ended twenty fifteen in second place and a staggering fourteen points behind the league leaders and bitter rivals Celtic who sadly have been outstanding this season to date and we face them next at home, ouch. We are three points ahead of St. Mirren who we managed to leapfrog while Hamilton are in fourth and Dundee look set like they're ready for the drop with just one win and five draws from eighteen games.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/fIeE2cqKTmUveksOuSc5gXdYIQD1XDN59drjJXdz.jpg

Getafe couldn't be caught so it was between ourselves, Dnipro and Spartak Moscow for the final qualification place and thankfully our two one win over the Ukrainian side was enough to see us progress. Spanish side Getafe couldn't have been caught regardless as they smashed their way through with six wins from six and eighteen goals scored in the progress.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/OWQuk0kun4ra2TUBy8fJ1GkRw46EtEpl5NcIJd3U.jpg

Our board have also given me the chance of change our expectations for the remainder of the season. They are Europa League qualification through a league position, Champions League qualification through a league position or a Title challenge.

I'm not sure what I'm going to go with but it's definitely NOT going to be a Title challenge as Celtic's already wrapped up the title and it would take a monumental balls up not for them to win it come the end of the season. Do think I'll play it safe and stick with the Europa League qualification through a league position, which will give me a transfer kitty of seventeen and a quarter million to play with.

At this moment in time I am currently unsure on whether I'm actually going to spend the cash or not. I suppose it depends if any players, who will definitely make the squad better, is available or I will only replace players who I decide to ship out and at this present time I don't think anyone will be leaving - stay tuned though because that could change.

Okay game on now in the group with Moscow on your tail now! Up into third in the league too well done

We have two chances to qualify for the next round, vs. Dnipro at home or vs. Getafe away. I'd rather get it done in front of our own fans.

I've to admit that it's been a good season to date back in the Scottish Premier League and I'm sure the form can only pick up. We definitely won't win the league as I'm almost certain that Celtic can't be caught as they've not lost a game this season in the league. We're still got a chance to retain the Scottish League Cup that I believe we won last season and still in the Scottish Cup too.

By Zan2k9 | Permalink | On 07 January 2013 - 23:35 PM
Nice to see you competing in the competitions buddy, really doing well!

I'm surprised we've got a chance of progression from Europe as I'm sure Getafe, Spartak Moscow and Dnipro are "seasonal European veterans" while this is the first time we've been in Europe since I took over. I'm not saying we'll win the Europa League but I'm just here for the ride to see how far we can go.

With a quality pre season behind us we embarked on the beginning of competitive football and it was a much better start compared to last season as we managed to remain throughout the month unbeaten, only slipping up one at the end of the month to Roeselare, we've also progressed through two rounds of the Belgian Cup.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/p9PGImwpvnC69xtZlkIbxJJtmDkFcjCyY9TEoCU8.jpg

Our competitive season started with a Belgian Cup fourth round against Diegem and we progressed following a two nil win as Austrian winger Koep broke the deadlock on the half hour before summer signing Falcao scored on his debut and our second goal after sixty nine minutes.

The league season started with a home encounter versus Oostende and we picked up a monumental four two win as Stade Communal (Bas-Pres) but we had to do it the hard way because the visitors broke the deadlock after thirteen minutes before Falcao levelled proceedings a minute later but then Oostende regained the lead. Things went from bad to worse as debutent Mercuri was dismissed for us three minutes before half time but that didn't bother us because another debutant Armendariz equalised on seventy two minutes before two more goals from Falcao, to complete his hat trick saw us seal the points.

Another Belgian Cup clash came at home as we brushed aside Wetteren at home as Falcao scored twice and Mercuri as well in the opening twenty eight minutes before our other central defender, Aguirre added a fourth early in the second half.

We then took the trip to Dessel and picked up an excellent four goal victory on the road as we took the lead after only ten minutes through Koep as that was the only goal in the first half. A second goal was scored six minutes from the restart through Falcao and the same man scored his second and our third with eight minutes left and a fourth was scored whenever Fernando scored a wonderful goal.

The month ended with a scoreless draw against Roeselare, we weren't favourites for the tie so I'm pleased with the result.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/bReabRkl6DXHInsDDuVHemvj2PAqKjZxJJ13AAn8.jpg

It's been a great start to the league season as we're currently in second place due to FC Brussels scoring one more goal than ourselves after three games. Isn't it hard to imagine that this time last season we were near the bottom after an unacceptable start to the season - I hope this form lasts and we can have a successful campaign.

I'm pleased to announce that three players have joined the club with two being loan deals until the end of the current season, right winger Colin has joined on-loan from Pro League side Lierse while Leys has also joined on-loan for the season from another Pro League side Beerschot. I despretly needed striker so I have had to bring in Italian Bricchetti but I'm currently unsure on how much game time he'll get - I wanted to get someone else in on-loan but it wasn't happening. I've let Kevelaerts depart the club as he probably won't get much game time.

not a bad season well done on surviving, a decent pre season too

Surviving in the league was a great achievement but our lack of victories stopped us finishing higher. I'm pleased with how the pre season went.

FALCAO????!????!?!!!

Just because of his name I swear you're gonna win the league

Sadly though mate it's not him although funnily enough I have also brought THAT Falcao in as a coach.

It's been another busy pre season for us at Namur as I've announced nine new signings with potentially one more to arrive while I also arranged eight friendly matches that saw us remain undefeated throughout with the highlight being a thumping 5-1 win over Bayern's second team.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ZDEVAO8qmjPsXa0HgsZbFAlmgEbJgNyc8j8HKbWg.jpg

With the signings I've made I feel we could definitely mount a promotion push but of course I will be taking it one game at a time even though this season does look promising with the additions that I've brought in. At the end of last season I released my experienced left back and replaced him with Borges who is much younger and better than him, could be a big player for us now and in the future.

I've brought in three new central defenders - Aguirre and Mercui, who will be first choice have both arrived on frees while Criquielion has joined on a season loan from Pro League side Lokeren.

The right wing has also been made stronger with Armendariz while I've been reunited with Kostyukevich who I managed at Torpedo. Van Dyck is a left back while I've brought striker Falcao to the club and no, it's not THAT one sadly but he could be just as good.

Quite a few "big" players have also departed the club.

Last seasons right back wasn't the only "big" player to depart the club as I also agreed to release Adriaensen, Perrier, Vermeiren, Jacobs, Afkir along with a bunch of under twenty one and under nineteen players who I am sure will be able to find clubs as they're not bad players, just not our level anymore.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/m9u6kOXahiVCo1fxrVRIwznTqU1U0eZJ8OJNndKj.jpg

Pre season was quite a success this time around, perhaps the future could be bright?

Of course I'm not going to judge our pre season friendlies on how we're going to do when competitive football starts but if it's a sign of things to come then it will be sure successful as we didn't lose any of our eight games, winning five and drawing three.

We started with two Dutch teams visiting us and we drew a blank against MVV before holding Fortuna Sittard with Dildick scoring our goal on five minutes, our third game saw us beat Boussu at home as Kevelaerts and a Koep penalty before blasting five past Zwarte Leeuw in our first away game - Dildick, Armendariz, Marty, Falcao and Christiaens were on target.

A trip to Hasselt saw us put four past time with Kevelaerts, Mercuri, Falcao and Afkir scoring before drawing two all with Ipswich in another "big game" as Fernando and Boulanger put the ball in the net for us and then we thrashed Bayern's second team five one with Dildick, Kevelaerts, Fernando, Aguirre all finding the target in the first half as Falcao added a fifth late on in the second.

Pre season ended with a comfortable three one win at Saint-Josse as Armendariz, Fernando and Boulanger scored.

The board must deep down be impressed with me as they offered me a new contract to remain at the club despite trying to leave twice last season but the contract situation will be discussed further down in the thread. I've also had my seasonal expectations given to me and the pressure is on.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/J4qrKvOecTHjngELKM9plkRghsXJwwAoikK3MDH5.jpg

Following a successful season last time out the board are now expecting us to finish in a mid-table position but due to us not having a great wage budget I've decided to say that I believe we can finish in the top half and that's given me a grand to spend on wages but still zero transfer kitty. The pressure is on.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/v2k84mye4vD7ZrvFAjXTohMLFdll5iM6Qd4uwyyn.jpg

The offer is a three-year-deal that will see me earn six hundred pounds a week during my stay at the club and I had no hesitation but to accept it. One thing I've agreed is that if we fail to get promoted to the Pro League this season then I may consider stepping down as manager.

Always thought the best thing to do when negotiating a new contract with the board was not the promise anything so I decided to leave that blank, as per usual as I refuse to make promises that I know I may not able to back-up so I enjoy playing it safe. Part of me does think though I could have a successful season, better than last but I will keep my feet on the ground as I could get off to a disastrous start.

We start the league season with a tough home game against Oostende before travelling to Dessel and ending the first month back at home as we entertain Roeselare. The important thing is to ensure we don't get off to the same start we did last season, which is just unacceptable.

Good season. Do you think you can improve the squad enough to fight for a play off spot, maybe by winning one of the periods, then I think you should stay.

It all depends on what kind of budget the board gives me in the summer as I don't really want to go over the wage budget for a second straight season, however, if it means I get promoted to the Pro League then it will be a sacrifice worth taking. I went over the budget last season much to the disappointment of the board.

Next season with a few new faces and a bit more luck you will get promotion from this league. Good luck with it.

Well done on surviving mate! Great achievement your final league position!

Just think though mate, if we managed to turn some of those draws into wins then our final league position could have been better. However, I'm not complaining because I'm just absolutely delighted that I managed to survive. Now for the major question mate, will I remain at the club or do I feel the need to jump ship on a high? Suppose only time will tell.

It was the final month of the season and what a season it turned out to be as yet again I managed a team to beat expectations as we have secured a wonderful eleventh place finish but deep down I know it could have been slightly better if we turned those draws into wins. May saw us face just the one game to conclude the season.

That game was against Mons and we ended the season with a two all draw as we fought back from conceding twice. The away side took the lead a minute after the half hour but we levelled the scores on thirty nine minutes through Vermeiren but an early second half goal from Serwy saw Mons retake the lead but on-loan Gerritsen, in what could be his final game for the club, squared the scores for a second time on sixty six minutes.

Congratulations to Charleroi who won the league title while Oostende, Mons and OH Leuven wrapped up the three playoff spots.

For ourselves though it's been a remarkable season minus the early disappointing Belgian Cup exit but it's still been a great league campagin and it could only get better. An eleventh place finish saw us draw twelve of our thirty four games and it's a little disappointing but we also won eleven and lost eleven, wrapping up forty two points in the process.

Onwards and upwards I guess.

Our draw with Mons ensured they couldn't secure a playoff spot through the three periods but they still secured a playoff spot because of Charleroi winning the league. We came ninth in the third and final period so I guess it's a little improvement and I hope next season will be better.

The penultimate month of the season was another short one as we faced just another three games, all in the league and it was also a forgettable one as we failed to win anyone of the three league games as we drew two and lost one to Charleroi in between the two draws.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/lyORKujgweAgcIxG5SaVkWHGF8Wbr6PREY4c3oTC.jpg

It started with a trip to Aalst and we stuttered to a score draw with central midfielder Fernando rescuing us a point with a sixty seventh minute goal after the home side took the lead after twenty eight minutes through Popovic.

We then faced league leaders Charleroi and they beat us two one and got off to a dreadful start as the away fans were celebrating inside the opening five minutes when Rolland opened the scoring before Fernando equalised on twenty one minutes but Charleroi won the game on twenty nine minutes through Madsen. Our hopes of a comeback were all but ended after sixty eight minutes whenever left back Jacobs was dismissed for two yellows.

Our final match of the month was an away trip to La Louviere Centre and it turned out to be a thriller as six goals were shared out and we were the ones to break the deadlock with six minutes of the first half remaining as Koep smashed the ball home but the hosts equalised five minutes into the second half through Obracbvic but we regained the lead through Vermeiren a few minutes later. Louviere Centre equalised for a second time on sixty four minutes through Some but yet again we regained the lead through Koep and I thought we would have held on but no, Nakache snatched a point with two minutes left.

Going into the final game of the season at home to Mons and we will finish the season in eleventh place regardless of what happens as Dender won't be able to catch us. Charleroi won the league title much to their fans' delighted and they'll be playing in the Pro League next season. Lommel and Ronse have been relegated while Louviere Centre will be in the playoff spot.

We can't secure a playoff spot and that's now between Mons and OH Leuven for that final spot.

As March embarked us we faced just the three league games as with nine points available we managed to pick up six points, which I'm delighted enough, we did crash to a disappointing defeat at FC Brussels and that's the only downside of the month.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/fAu8KKA438DNQ8MJDTBHepwhaT3qKkdDE8kS1dPk.jpg

We started the short month with a home clash versus Zulte Waregem and we beat them three one as Vermeiren opened the scoring as he beat the visiting keeper after thirty six minutes but the Zulte Waregem equalised on sixty nine minutes but we regained the lead five minutes later through Koep and then Vermeiren's second of the game with seven minutes remaining sealed the win.

Our second game of the month saw us make the trip to FC Brussels and crash to an unacceptable and forgettable four one defeat as two goals inside the opening half hour from Mutombo and Song had the home side in control but even when Vermeiren halved the deficit that didn't change the game as Goossens and Corryn scored in the second half.

And the final match of the month was a home encounter with bottom of the table Ronse who we managed to beat on this occasion as we sealed a two one victory and we broke the deadlock in just the second minute as attacking midfielder Gerritsen opened the scoring but the bottom side equalised ten minutes later through Baras. Winger Kevelaerts won us the game when he struck in the seventy seventh minute.

It's great pleasure to announce that we've survived the threat of relegation and I'm absolutely over the moon that I was the guy that made this all possible. It would had been so easy to walk away and manage either Gent or Lierse but I decided to stay put and now I feel I made the correct decision.

With four league games remaining we are still in the hunt for a playoff spot and if I managed to seal one it would just wrap up what's been a quality season. Our last four games of the season are Aalst (A), Charleroi (H), La Louviere Centre (A) and Mons (H) so it's not an easy end.

Much better mate, great start to the new year! remain unbeaten for the third period and you'd have a playoff spot!

I can't remain unbeaten since Oostende beat me, silly!

As much as I would love a playoff spot, it's all about survival this season and I feel we're close to achieving that.

Following a promising last month it was important we kept up the good form heading in February and we did despite losing just the one game out of four league games against near top of the table side Oostende but we picked up two wins and one draw from the other games.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ixDMMjoX6x3bPer15IlQllf9fTyGBcoyEmuQor3a.jpg

We started February with a game away to pre season league favourites Roeselare and we went from two goals down to salvage a point, an own goal from central defender Dildick on twenty minutes gave the home side the lead before van der Wal doubled the scores on fifty five minutes. Two minutes later winger Kevelaerts pulled a goal back before central midfielder Pucher picked the perfect time to score his first goal for the club as he equalised with twelve minutes left.

Our next league game was against Woluwe, a team who we haven't beaten in the last three encounters as they've all ended in draws but we managed to pick up a massive three points as we beat the strugglers two nil as Fernando, who just like Pucher in the previous game, scored his first goal of the club on nine minutes before Vermeiren doubled the lead from the penalty spot on twenty four minutes.

We then faced a tricky trip to Tubize but our new found confidence ensured we would head home with a one goal victory as summer signing Kevelaerts scored what turned out to be the winning goal on the half hour mark, he had a goal chalked off in the second half that would definitely sealed the points but we held on.

The month came to an end with a home game against Oostende who headed back to the top of the table following a deserved two nil win as we were second best throughout, first half goals from Goris on sixteen minutes and Grisez in the second minute of first half stoppage time was enough.

Despite that one league defeat in February we have ended up in eleventh spot and I'm a little bit confident that we can avoid the drop but I won't get overly confident until it's mathematically possible that we've survived.

It's been a great start to the third period as we are in seventh place after five games with just the single defeat at the hands of Oostende.

The New Year brought us four league games we looked to find some consistency in the second half of the season as I looked to ensure that the club at least survived this season so they could build. We won two and drew two of the four games, which is a promising return.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/A2iVcKf07ufq7ZWLT03yytv5pnR2cwXIU3TnOv8t.jpg

A trip to OH Leuven started January and we picked up what could turn out to be a crucial victory as we secured a single goal win as Austrian left winger Koep scored the only goal of the encounter inside the opening one hundred and eighty seconds to separate the sides.

We then headed home to host Lommel United in our first game of the New Year at home but we could only manage to pick up a point after coming from behind after striker Perrier levelled proceedings with eleven minutes remaining after Laerenbergh opened the scoring for the visitors on twenty six minutes.

Our next game was back on the road with an away game against Dender and we headed home with an excellent two one success as the on-loan Gerritsen opened the scoring on fifty eight minutes but Ngadrira levelled before Perrier won us the game with a goal in the first minute of second half stoppage time.

January came to an end with a home game against Olympic Charleroi and we got off to a dream start with a Perrier goal inside the opening minute but the away side levelled the scores in controversial circumstances as van Gelder allegedly equalised with his hand and I had no problem telling the press exactly what I thought of that decision after the game.

Charleroi's secured a playoff spot after winning the second period.

We have had a promising start to the New Year as we've remained unbeaten through the four games played this year so far and now we're in eleventh place and if we can keep this form going then I believe we will survive no problem so it's important we don't go on a losing streak.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PIjD95hKEwZah1uiU0APGBUd7OCsXbwjCEg48B9a.jpg

We are heading into the third period with just one playoff spot left remaining, the second period concluded with us ending in tenth place and that's defendant progression.

Belgium is not an easy country to win. Only a few clubs are really good and a lot of teams are not really bad. You are most of the times part of the mid table. I never managed to win any silver in this country (yet).

I never thought this adventure was going to be an "easy ride" and this current season has proven that, however if I survive then I'd "celebrate" like it was a title victory as it would be a remarkable achievement. I'd love to take the Anderlecht job as they same to be the best club in Belgium even though they're not the current champions on my save, Standard are.

One trophy to my name currently but I can guarantee that will change... I just don't know when.

seems like Belgium is bringing you to a hault a little. dont let it bother you!

Belgium isn't bothering me mate, my clubs inconsistency is bothering me slightly.
