Combined with the fact you almost doubled the second place's goals and halved their conceded, Rangers definitely too good for this league!
Keep it up!!

Whenever you have SPL standard players in your squad, you should be expecting to walk the league and I’m delighted we did and unbeaten too.

not bad in the league, could of dnoe better! shame you suck in the cup, probably want to resign now before you get any more embarrassing.

You’re right. Can’t believe I lost to Celtic in the League Cup. I should have resigned straight after that defeat.

Good end of the season mate and unlucky with the Hearts game.

As much as I was a little annoyed Hearts deserved to beat me as they edged the game. Don’t worry though; I will get my revenge on the Jambos eventually. I’m still conceding some sloppy goals but at least I’m scoring plenty to cancel them out.

Roll on the Second Division.

As the champions entered the final two months of the season I felt it was important that we passed the one hundred points tally and we did with ease. Sadly we couldn't secure a Scottish Cup success as our run came to an end in the semi final at Hampden Park with SPL side Hearts winning after extra time.

http://i49.tinypic.com/x1y246.jpg

Our first game of April was against Elgin City at Ibrox as the home side secured a 4-0 victory but it was far from comfortable. We took the lead in the thirty seventh minute when the on loan Herd opened the scoring before Templeton doubled the score early in the second half and then a double from Black put gloss on the score.

The next game against Stirling was another tough game that could have went either way despite Herd and Shiels scoring in either half the home side could've picked up a point.

Next up was the semi final of the Scottish Cup against Hearts as we crashed out of the competition after extra time - the SPL side opened the scoring before Northern Ireland international attacking midfielder had fired a leveller before the winner, for the Jambos, came in extra time.

Berwick were next up at Ibrox and Rangers bounced back from the Scottish Cup defeat with two goals in five minutes from Templeton and Faure to seal the points.

And then a trip to Clyde was up next and the visitors opened the scoring when Ephraim was on target and left winger Templeton smashed home a second just after the hour mark before on loan QPR player Ephraim slotted a third in a minute from time.

Rangers' penultimate game of the 2012/2013 season was against Annan at Ibrox Stadium and in front of 48,479 spectators the Teddy Bears produced one of their best performances of the season with an ephatic 8-2 victory with the highlight being a hat trick from Sandaza. Little, who was playing right winger was also on target along with Argyriou, Herd, Shiels and Ephraim against the hapless Annan.

A trip to Montrose concluded the season as Rangers scored five away from home, Black opened the scoring in the eighth minute before Herd doubled the lead and then Sandaza added Rangers' third of the day and then the former Hearts man Black made it four before Castelen made sure Rangers had scored five times in the first half for the second game running.

http://i49.tinypic.com/2j5ie0z.jpg

We won the league pretty easy as Rangers finished a staggering forty points ahead of runners-up Elgin. Annan are the current worse team in the top four divisions as they came bottom of the third division but lucky for them relegation doesn't happen, they finished two points behind Stirling.

Elgin City, Peterhead and Clyde will particapate in the play-offs to see who joins Rangers in the second division - East Stirlingshire missed out by seven points but it's still been a good season for The Shire. Montrose came sixth, Berwick seventh and the amateurs Queen's Park finished eighth.

Only cowards resign from their respective jobs.

'tis a shame you resigned as manager of Bleid-Molenbeek, especially after winning the league and the board deciding to build your good self a new stadium.

You say you were an amateur side? Was this always going to be the case and can't go to semi-pro and then eventually pro? I wish you the best of luck at Guiseley and I'm sure you will do a terrible, err, I mean good job.

Good to see you get a nice, lengthy deal out of them. The constant news updates about whether or not your gonna sign a new contract is annoying when your playing FM. 5 long successful years

It was important that I made sure I got tied down for a long period of time as I want to remain at this club for the forseeable future. I can't even remember getting any news updates about my contract expiring but I could have and I just skipped them and didn't realise. All in all it's been a great season and a Scottish Cup success would top it all off.

Was going to post an update with April and May's results but imgur isn't working and thus must wait.

I've agreed a new deal with Rangers that will see me remain at Ibrox for the forseeable future. They had originally only offered me a three year deal but I was adamant I wanted longer, eventually after quite a bit of serious negotiation I decided to take a wage cut so I could have a longer deal. With only two months remaining on my current deal I didn't want to hang around.

To be expected then. As I have noticed on a few FM’s ago there isn’t much difference between the third and second division and I expect them not to be much different as I’m sure we can get back-to-back promotions, embargo or not.

Congrats on the League win . On a side note, I'm attempting to sign Chris Herd, you recommend him?

The minimum expectation I have is to walk the league, next season that won't be any different.

League was a piece of cake. I would def. reccoment Herd as he's not been that bad for me since joining, I'm pleased to have him until the end of next season.

ten 100 points total is nearing! fantastic form mate and top work continuing the cup run

Can we beat Hearts though? They're def. a step up of Kilmarnock and St. Mirren and that's with all due respect. Hearts are currently fourth in the SPL, seven points behind leaders Celtic so they'll be no mugs.

Next season I aim to get further in the League Cup too.

Another good month for the league champions saw Rangers advance to the Scottish Cup semi finals to set up a date with Hearts at Hampden Park. Three league matches were also played this month as the champions went over the one hundred goals league tally this season while Rangers are fourteen points adrift of making the hundred points total.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0mZpKE1LLA4O4krHFoBfYu6dqghXZ7cdTVa5pTA5.jpg

Rangers started March on the road in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup as the third division side made the trip to St. Mirren Park and played out a 1-1 draw, the visitors goal came from striker Sandaza but despite playing against ten men, and dominating, Rangers were unable to find a winning goal.

The replay at Ibrox in front of over fifty thousand was a much more straight forward affair as Sandaza had fired the home side into the lead early on before he added his second just after the half hour. Dutch winger Castelen put gloss on the score with a third with nine minutes left.

Queen's Park were the visitors to Ibrox for Rangers' first home game of the month and yet again Sandaza hit a double in between a wonderful goal from Templeton and Castelen second goal in as many games this month.

For the third game running the Spanish striker Sandaza was at the double as his fine goal scoring form continued as the in-form striker had put Rangers in control at Ochilview Park, despite East Stirlingshire pulling a goal back, Ephraim sealed another three points for Rangers.

And the month ended with a tricky trip to Peterhead and Cribari's header in the sixty ninth minute sealed another victory for the unbeaten champions.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/DKyrFIk9keRn0mVKImfpKo72QNTxoTVDYQ0iVeee.jpg

With six league games remaining, champions Rangers are 37 points clear ahead of Peterhead as they are in second place on goal difference from Elgin City. Clyde were four points clear of East Stirlingshire (that's now changed, East Stirling won 1-0 vs. Queen's Park), Annan are back bottom of the table, five points behind Montrose and eleven points behind Stirling who are third bottom.

Berwick Rangers and Queen's Park look all set to finish mid table.

Another top month mate with four out of five clean sheets! The cup run continues and you have finally secured the league title! Doing it easily now! See the season out unbeaten in the league now

We have St. Mirren in the cup so that's winnable, still don't think we can win the Scottish Cup but I'll try no doubt. The league was a priority as it's one step towards to the SPL, and that's the league I want us to play in within the next few seasons.

I don't want the players to take it easy as I would love to try and break 100 points and goals in the league this season. It's very, very doable.

A sensational season was quickly rapped up with only twenty seven games played as Rangers wrapped up the SFL third division title after a 4-0 victory over Montrose at Ibrox.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wZGet1Ny6q1pXy6rmtrGtXAoJOQyuC91mfMLGahJ.png

February started with a Scottish Cup round five clash with Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock who visited Ibrox and forty eight thousand, two hundred and thirty four spectators saw the Teddy Bears progress to the next round to face St. Mirren. Central defender Cribari headed the home side into the lead on twenty three minutes before Templeton doubled the lead late on.

Next up was a home clash with Clyde and despite playing for a large part against ten men Rangers left it late as Black and Shiels netted in the final ten minutes.

Berwick was up next as we picked up a comfortable victory on our travels, a ten minute treble from central midfielder Black had us seemily in control but Berwick fought back with two goals and the points were finally sealed when on loan Aston Villa midfielder Herd added a fourth.

Trip to Annan was up next as we scored four goals on our travels for the second game running, Faure opened the scoring on eight minutes and then doubled the lead thirty minutes later, Wallace smashed home a third a few minutes later before Shiels made it four in the second half.

And the month ended with Rangers being crowned champions thanks to another four goal victory, this time at Ibrox in front of 37,186 people. An own goal from Lunan sent Rangers on their way before second half strikes from Castelen, Argyriou and Black sealed the championship.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/BB34FVMSzycxDgVt5X8tFe0LfqeC6ICmHBvwnk8v.jpg

So the title has been secured despite us playing a game more than the other eight teams in the lead. It was always going to be impossible for someone to close our thirty one point gap at the top. Annan have went bottom of the table and are two points adrift of Montrose and eight adrift of Stirling, they're just glad I don't think relegation happens from the third division. Elgin, Peterhead and Clyde are in the top four with East Stirling a point behind The Bully Wee. Queen's Park and Berwick are in sixth and seventh.

Scoring for fun now buddy! shame about the draw but the league title is almost there now mate

The draw against Queen’s Park was a welcome change as it’s now the second time we’ve dropped points in the third division this season. However, if I remember correctly we have deserved to win every match we’ve played in the league as we’re a class above the other nine clubs in the league – not cocky, just fact.

Five games, twenty goals, five conceded and two dropped points - it wasn't a perfect month as Rangers dropped points in the New Year but still remain clear at the top of the Scottish third division.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/KkDX5vVO8yAE3QZebQV6OQm2MhUiHF334GFSdRXf.jpg

And the first month of 2013 was at Ibrox against East Stirling and a crowd of 37,212 saw the home side run out comfortable victors at Ibrox with all the goals coming in the first half. Striker Sandaza beat The Shire keeper in the eleventh minute before Templeton doubled the lead, Sandaza then added a second just before the break before completing his treble a few minutes later.

Queen's Park was up next at Hampden Park and despite early goals from Sandaza and Shiels the league leaders were unable to hold on as Queen's Park scored twice, including a late penalty to level.

The frustrations of the last match were taken out on Peterhead who visited Ibrox and they were trounced by four goals to nil as Templeton opened the scoring in the fifteenth minute and that's how it stayed until half time. Substitute McCulloch added a second on fifty-six minutes before getting his second ten minutes later with a real poachers effort and then Black added a fourth with nine minutes remaining.

An early goal from attacking midfielder Shiels set Rangers on their way to a five-one victory over Elgin City at Borough Briggs before victory was all but sealed thanks to a ten minute hat trick through McCulloch, Ephraim, who came off the bench, added a fifth in second half stoppage time.

Stirling Albion made the trip to Ibrox to finish the month as Rangers secured a second straight 5-1 victory as Hutchison scored an unfortunate own goal but Albion levelled before Templeton restored the Rangers advantage and then Sandaza added a third. On loan central midfielder Herd slotted home a fourth before half time and then Shiels scored a fifth in the sixty-ninth minute.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xlhsao3wPdfVaMJExoD5zgF3IDXQ4OQFbpciJeLm.jpg

The gap at the top for Rangers is now standing at twenty five points following a decent enough January month as Elgin City, despite being trounced 5-1 by Rangers are in second place, two points ahead of Peterhead who are in third. Montrose remain bottom of the third division but are only a point behind Annan but Stirling, who also got hammered by Rangers have a six point gap as they're third bottom. East Stirling, Queen's Park and Berwick make up the league table.

Great to see you get over the clean-sheet issue mate, four on the bounce during December (five if you onclude the cup match)! Excellent month.

Totally blasting the league now, CHAMPIONEES!

I’m not going to get carried away bud. On the bright side I did unlock the achievement “parked the bus” after the Clyde game due to that being the fifth game on the bounce in all competitions since conceding. Excellent.

I’m dreading the up coming month, I’m seriously hoping I can keep the squad together until September 2013 or I feel I will be in trouble due to having to then have a young squad.

It’s our league title to lose now, mate.

By flcinusa | Permalink | On 10 November 2012 - 14:14 PM
I've also started as Rangers, signed very few Jason Banton was done by the youth development and Thomas Piermayr on a free as he can play DR and DL easily. Wins come easy in the league but despite renegotiating McCulloch and Alexander down a few grand, nothing could stop going into receivership in January at which point player sales was out with my control. So long Lee Wallace for peanuts (1m to Sunderland), Barrie McKay for 80 grand to Brighton to name a few. Eventually limped to the 3rd division title, but unable to sign anyone and unable to prevent the sale of anyone meant a decimated squad for the 2nd division. Has anyone else fell foul of the receivers?

Banton was also signed by the youth development too on my save and needless to say he’s rubbish and has never made his league debut to date yet, nor do I think he will.

As I have said, I’m really hoping my squad doesn’t get decimated in January as, of course, we’re unable to sign anyone unless they’re seventeen or under.

It's about bloody time we kept some clean sheets.

Once I secure the league, which if I lose, I will be mightly pissed as we're twenty clear at the top. I'm going to be on the lookout for some sixteen/seventeen year olds as that's all I am able to sign until September 2013, which, although annoying, I knew it was going to happen.

Shame you didn't choose to manage them, they're belter!

The final month of the year saw Rangers move twenty points clear at the summit after another unbeaten month in the third division as we actually managed to keep five clean sheets in succession. December started with a Scottish Cup trip to Stark's Park and ended with a trip to Montrose.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Ei8tFJWteXr8q6WBHQYv15N0h5qC4rOaUGHBN4Ok.jpg

And indeed it was the trip to Stark's Park that started December as we disposed of Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup fourth round as second half goals from Zanetti and Gasparotto sealed the passage to the next round - Kilmarnock (iirc) await.

Our first league fixture was at home to Elgin City as a goal in the eighth minute from Templeton had got the home side of to a dream start before Zanetti scored for the second consecutive game in the fifteenth minute, summer signing Templeton added his second and Rangers' third in the forty-first minute before Sandaza completed the emphatic victory in the second period.

The second of three straight home game saw us beat Berwick Rangers at Ibrox in front of another large, passionate home crowd saw two goals in three first minutes from Sandaza and loanee Ephraim put Rangers in control and it stayed that way until Black added a third in second half stoppage time.

And the final home game of the month was against Annan Athletic and they were beat by three goals to nil, central midfielder Black netted in either half in between a Shiels strike.

Clyde was up next and despite the home side playing with ten men for a large period of the month, they nearly held on for an unlikely point before Sandaza struck sixteen minutes from time.

The trip to Montrose concluded 2012 as the Teddy Bears picked up three more points on the march to promotion. Winger Templeton swepped home a ninth minute goal and Wallace doubled the lead in the fifty-first minute and an own goal, from McIntosh, completed the scoring.

Another great league month saw Rangers move a sensational twenty points clear at the top ahead of Peterhead and twenty three points in front of East Stirling. Montrose are stuck to the bottom of the table, four points adrift of Annan Athletic and seven points behind Berwick. Elgin City remain in the top four just a few points ahead of Queen's Park and Stirling Albion.

November saw Rangers enterain in six matches as they secured their first trophy of the season as a second half goal from Sandaza saw Rangers lift the Challenge Cup at the expense of East Fife. Twenty goals were scored by the third division leaders while clean sheets were still an issue, conceding six times.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/RJzUBLt54vPRA64CkG8YvAkwaMWxhhGZOyZBG5Yi.jpg

Clachnacuddin in the Scottish Cup third round started November as the Gers eased to the fourth round as goals from Castelen, Templeton, Wallace and Gasparotto saw off the non-league side.

The next game was again at Ibrox as Montrose were the visitors as Rangers secured another confortable victory, a 5-1 win thanks to five different scorers. Sandaza opened the scoring in the 20th minute before winger Templeton doubled the lead three minutes later, Shiels added a third just after the half hour before second half goals from Castelen and Zanetti completed the rout.

A third straight home game saw another home victory as a Shiels double, Templeton and Zanetti saw Queen's Park defeated in front of just over forty thousand fans.

Rangers' first cup final of the season was up next as East Fife were the opposition and the Challenge Cup headed to Ibrox thanks to a fifty-sixth minute winner from Sandaza.

The penultimate game of the month was away to Peterhead and Shiels' first minute goal got Rangers off to a dream start before subsitute McCulloch doubled the lead on nineteen.

And November ended with victory over Stirling Albion, a 4-2 victory saw both wingers Templeton and Castelen get on the score sheet before Sandaza added a third goal in the thirty-fifth minute and then defender Cribari finished the scoring early in the second half after the centre back headed home a corner.

Early days but the league is Rangers' to lose as the Gers opened a twelve point lead at the top of the third division with Peterhead second, three points ahead of East Stirlingshire. Annan's victory over Stirling Albion saw them move from the bottom of the table to be replaced with Montrose. Clyde are just outside the top four on goal difference with Elgin just ahead of them, Queen's Park, Stirling and Berwick are seperated by just a point.

I’d still like more clean sheets though. I believe I’ve only got the one in the third division to date, vs. Clyde.
