Definitely will be following and can’t wait to see how Davis does for you. How long you got him on-loan for? When I loaned two players in, I made sure I was able to get them until the end of next season due to the obvious transfer embargo.

Cheers George. I’ve not been surprised by the start as it’s been expected. With the squad we have, I expected us to be top of the table and playing some good football, only downside is though is that I can’t seem to keep a clean sheet for love nor money – ach well, adds to the “entertainment” value.
I have still been playing the game and have this evening completed November and it’ll be posted sometime tomorrow.

I'm aiming for at least a decade to become a force in Europe, that's if I can achieve back-to-back-to-back promotions to the SPL in consecutive seasons - then, it's achieving survival in the top flight before I make a European burst.
Cheers bud. Hmm, you could say Shiels, Templeton, Black and perhaps Cribari who all signed in real life could be considered "unrealistic" signings but I do get your point mate. Thank you for commenting though.

Once it was announced that Rangers had been demoted to division three I vowed that I would start with them and wouldn’t quit until we won the Scottish Premier League and put in a quality European run together and that will take years, which is good.
I’m looking forward to your career mate. I do enjoy the web-based stories so I’ve no doubt it’ll be a good read. Your career would be different anyway as I’m sure you would sign different players, use a different formation and your fixtures would be in a different order to mine.
If we’re drawn at home, I’ve no doubt we’ll beat Celtic.
Hmm, I’d say so mate. I’m not sure what Rangers’ rep is. They’re only to fill the squad up but they do a job when called upon.

Who else could I have started with?
The Celtic game was incredibly close, as I got beat with a goal two minutes before half time from Hooper before Cribari was dismissed in the second half. Celtic had 13 attempts at goal with 7 on target with 2 CCC’s while we had 9 shots and 5 on target but with no CCC’s. Was pretty close.
Shoot, I can’t remember what state the finances were in when I started but I think they’re good enough for a Third Division side. You going to start a Rangers career on here, mate? The more the merrier and all that.

Rangers' third month of the season saw the Glaswegians play four league matches and scored sixteen times in the process while conceding three. The game against Clyde saw us pick up our first clean sheet of the season. We secured a penalty victory over Dunfermline as we advanced to the final of the Challenge Cup.
A trip to the Rangers of Berwick started the October month as we picked up another victory on the march for promotion. Attacking midfielder Shiels opened the scoring in the tenth minute before Zanetti doubled the lead just before the hour mark and then an own goal sealed the victory at Shielfield Park.
The Challenge Cup semi final was up next against first division side Dunfermline at East End Park and despite falling behind we levelled through a Black penalty on thirty-nine minutes. Ilunga was dismissed in the first minute of second half stoppage time for two yellow cards and he was followed by Black who was also sent off in added time of extra time.
Thirty seven thousand, two hundred and twenty six spectators welcomed Clyde to Ibrox as Rangers secured a two goal victory and their first clean sheet of the season as Ephraim and Templeton netted in the second half.
We then travelled to the bottom club and secured a big victory, a fluke goal from Argyriou sent us on our way to victory and then winger Templeton added a second just before half time. On fifty-seven minutes Shiels added a third before Sandaza added a fourth and then a second goal from Templeton completed the scoring.
Ochilview Park was the next destination as we played East Stirlingshire to finish the month, striker Sandaza got us off to a dream start in the second minute but The Shire levelled from the spot before Zanetti had restored the lead just before half time and then Shiels slotted home a penalty to give us a 3-1 half time lead. Sandaza scored his second and Rangers' fourth early in the second half before Templeton and Shiels completed the rout.
We are starting to get away from the pack at the top as an excellent month has seen us move six points clear at the top ahead of Peterhead who moved in the second ahead of Elgin City on goal difference. Annan Athletic remain bottom of the table as they're still without a win in the league this season, conceding twenty goals and scoring twice, they're five points behind Montrose. Clyde have leapfrogged East Stirlingshire following The Shire's hiding against Rangers.

As we embarked onto the second month of the season Rangers played six matches and suffered their first competitive defeat of the season in the third round of the League Cup to bitter rivals Celtic while entertaining non-league Huntly in the Scottish Cup. There was also four league games this month, three at home.
Rangers' opening game of the month was against league leaders Peterhead as The Blue Toon visited Ibrox and suffered a four goals to one defeat. Central midfielder and former Hearts man Black opened the scoring before Sandaza doubled the lead. Summer signing Castelen added a third late in the first half before Cribari added a fourth on the hour mark.
Our next game was in the Challenge Cup third round as we faced Ayr of the Second Division and they were beat thanks to goals from Sandaza and a double from Northern Ireland international Shiels who netted his two in the second period.
A large crowd then welcomed Stirling Albion to Ibrox as Rangers secured their second 4-1 success of the month - Templeton, Sandaza, Castelen and Shiels on target.
Despite a goal from left back Wallace at Bishop Briggs, Rangers suffered their first dropped points of the season as Elgin City fought back to earn a draw.
Celtic then picked up an expected victory at Celtic Park as the Premier Division side secured a single goal victory.
And then the final game of the month saw Huntly travel to Glasgow for a second round Scottish Cup tie in front of little short of fifteen thousand, Black opened the scoring on twenty-eight minutes before Shiels slotted home a penalty just four minutes later and then the same man scored a second period penalty fifteen minutes from time.
Annan Athletic remain rock bottom after the second month of the season as they're one of three teams yet to pick up a point - Montrose and Queen's Park the other two. Rangers lead the way at the top of the table due to scoring a goal more than Elgin following that 1-1 draw with Rangers.
Peterhead remain near the top of the table, The Blue Toon are three points behind a point ahead of both Clyde and East Stirlingshire while Stirling and Berwich are sixth and seventh.

I've made seven new signings ahead of Rangers going under a transfer embargo and I feel some of them are decent enough players who can do a job until the embargo is lifted next September. We can still sign players but they've to be under seventeen years of age.
Zanetti is an excellent piece of business for a Third Division side while Herd and Ephraim have both joined on loan until the end of next season. Castelen could do a job on the right wing and I might give him his debut vs. Peterhead while Ilunga and Addo will be decent squad players.
You can check out the players profiles in the spoiler below.
I've secured the Manager of the Month award while Templeton has won the Player of the Month who has scored three goals in six competitve games.

My first competitve month in charge of Rangers saw me take charge of six games, four at home and two away with four of them being cup games and the other two in the Scottish Football League Third Division and it's been a great month that ended with a monumental victory over SPL side Kilmarnock at Ibrox.
The first fixture of the 2012/2013 season was a Challenge Cup first round encounter as Queen of the South visited Ibrox and were defeated in a "cupset". The Second Division side had taken the lead but former St. Johnstone man Sandaza levelled five minutes before the break before Zanetti won it - third division East Stirlingshire await in round two.
Another cup game followed as First Division Airdrie awaited in the first round of the League Cup and United were humbled thanks to a straight forward victory, the home crowd went quiet when Sandaza had given Rangers a twenty-fifth minute lead before former Hearts striker Kyle doubled the lead late on to set up a second round tie with Kilmarnock.
Our first league season in the Third Division was against East Stirling at Ibrox and a thirty seven thousand strong crowd saw a home victory as Templeton had put us into a seventh minute lead before the same man doubled the lead on twenty-nine minutes and then Ephraim, on loan from QPR until the end of next season added a third a minute later. East Stirlingshire did pull a goal back in the second half.
A trip to Hampden Park was up next to face Queen's Park and it was a tough fixture as the amateurs had took a shock lead before Sandaza made it 1-1 shortly after and then left winger Templeton had turned the game around, Queen's Park did have a goal controversially dismissed in the second period.
East Stirlingshire were our next opposition for the second time in three games and we went one better as Rangers struck four. Ephraim scored twice inbetween a Sandaza strike and attacking midfielder Shiels sealed the rout and a third round tie.
The final game of August was against Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock who visited Ibrox and a small crowed of just under eighteen thousand one hundred saw striker Sandaza give the "Teddy Bears" a tenth minute lead and then central defender Faure completed the "cupset" ten minutes from time, getting on the end of a corner.
This is the league table after the opening month of the season - due to cup competitions, each team has only played two games. Peterhead, who we face next, lead the league and our one of three unbeaten sides along with ourselves and Elgin. Annan and Berwick are yet to pick up a point while Annan are yet to score.

Our pre-season preperations had us playing five games, four away from home and just the one at Ibrox. Rangers travelled to Ross County, Stranraer, Dunfermline and Wigan while hosting America (Mex) at home. Things, didn't excatly go to plan as we couldn't even pick up a single morale boosting victory before our season starts with QotS in the Challenge Cup.
I've also decided to add staff with only around thirteen being employed for the future. Then assistant manager McDowell couldn't agree to a new deal so I decided to let him go and replace him with former Walsall manager Money and I'm suprised he was willing to come to the club.
I have two former Premier League players on my staff, former Southampton player Lundekvam has come in as a scout while former Norwich City striker Roberts is a coach.
Despite a rubbish pre-season, I am still confident we can have a successful season and get promotion from the Third Division.

And now back to the career, this career is going to show you our two cup draws that were made on the same day. They're for the first rounds of the League Cup and Challenge Cup. I'd love to win the league as we're favourites but also I'd fancy a cup along the way too.
Our first cup game of the season is against Second Division Queen of the South who visit Ibrox at the end of July.
That's followed by a trip to New Bloomfield to face Airdrie in the Scottish League Cup first round. They're in the First Division so it'll be a very, very tough game.

With the release of Football Manager 2013 I have taken it upon myself to start a new career game and one I’d like to stick with. Over the last few careers I have cut them short because of different reasons – I’ve lost interest etc. but I’m going to try and keep this one going.
I wanted an “easy save” to start the game so indeed I have chosen Scottish Third Division side Rangers as my destination.
So, without further ado it’s time to introduce myself. I am “Shedender”, a young up and coming manager with aspiration for success with Rangers Football Club and I will stop at nothing to achieve success at Ibrox. I have chosen “Sunday League Experience” as I thought that would have been more realistic than starting as anything else.

I have a tendency (as I’m sure others do) to get addicted to managing one side in the challenge that you’ve no intention to leave, like I did on FM12 with Portadown.
Good luck to all that will take part though, it’s a tough son of a bitch to complete.
