Seems you have achieved what I wanted which was to have the original sidebar etc but I want it with the original purple colour. Any chance you could tell me how to do that.

So I want the default sidebar to still show when the skin is transparent and I have player/stadium backgrounds. Is this possible? I have managed to get it to be different solid colours etc but I can't see how to have the default fm24 sidebar.

Oh damn, well that's embarrassing. I had put the zip folder in there without unzipping it. Zip folders used to look very different to normal folders, now they are very similar. Boy do I have egg on my face!

Yeah, strange as I've done all that and they won't show. Normally I don't have an issue, so I was surprised when they didn't show. I'll keep fiddling to see if I can get it to work

So after watching All or nothing I have decided to implement a Pep Guardiola inspired tactic on a new Manchester City save.

I am trying to bring the patient possession based football of Guardiola. One where the pitch is stretched and we create overloads and isolations.

However I am actually a Reading fan and something we have introduced this year is an interesting tactical element whereby we have two midfielders who sit in front of the back four and create a 'Box' with the two central defenders. This box then allows our more attacking players to push forward and do what they do best. This allows for defensive stability whilst also allowing our attacking players to use their flair and ability to break down the opposition.

I have been somewhat successful with my first attempt at this and I will include screenshots and the actual tactic file for you to look at. However I do feel that it can be improved further but that this my be beyond my current abilities in the game. We are defensively sound but I think we could still stand to be a little more creative in the final third. Is this just a time thing where the players need to get used to the new system? I don't know, like I say that is beyond my abilities at this stage.

So what I'm asking is could you take a look at the tactic and make any suggestions for improvements? be it roles, duties, team instructions or whatever.

Get more ridiculous each year in this game. You try to buy a player and you have to pay over twice his value, however if you ask for 2-3m more for one of you players you don't get it!! or worse still they offer you 800k upfront and the rest is all in instalments with the rest coming over the next half century!!

It kills the game for me.

I have just brought FM13, and I am having a great time with it I am Man City ( I know, I know.....I started the game with the intention of just using a big team to get used to the game, but I am actually really enjoying my save). I have started to see an improvement in the reaction from my team talks, for the first year ever I have designed a tactic myself instead of downloading one and its working well.

But I am coming up against the same old problems and gripes, I struggle against my closest rivals in the league and can't for the life of me figure out how to get the better of them, and If an opponent starts of dominating possesion or the game I can't wrestle the game back no matter what I try.

I appreciate sometimes the above will happen thats just football, but does anyone have any tips that may help in these areas?



This would be my general starting tactic and I have seen some great results with it. One change I do make against close rivals is to have counter instead of attacking as my starting strategy, I did play United in the cup (albeit at home) and I wen't for a balanced style with standard strategy and won the game 2-0, is this the answer?
