As an aside, it's worth noting the Site Admin is actively working on reacting/preparing the data following the recent FM26 official update (FM26.2). There is a fair amount to do and we will look to tackle the issue with removed, non-playing staff after we have that all fundamentally in place.

 

As for Vinai Venkatesham, I am not sure you and I agree on the situation with him. For me, he appears in FM24 as Tottenham Hotspur's Managing Director. I can see the changes being successfully written into the Data Update file when I look in the Pre-Game Editor.

 

I am not using any files except for this website's FM24 Data Update. Have you definitively tried to start a new game with the FM24 Data Update only to verify the same?

Apologies, this is a very slow reply - and I know you've mentioned this a few times. I just wanted to circle back around and acknowledge - I'm looking at (and discussing internally) the best method to tackle this.

 

For your awareness, I believe the situation with Daniel Levy (and any others who are part of the same use-case) is that he has been removed from FM26. As he's not in the database at all, there was a point in time where the data-sets were consolidated to support both updates (which makes sense). Certain Data Update submissions/changes would've been purged as a result of this - for example, the approved change that would've removed Daniel Levy from Tottenham Hotspur in FM24. The result is that there are no changes being applied to his Person record in FM24…and so he's exactly where he would have been in the default FM24.3 database.

 

I am hoping we will find a systematic way to tackle this situation by re-importing certain purged data, however if this isn't possible, then I will create a manual, additional file whose sole purpose will be to apply changes to high-profile non-playing staff (like Daniel Levy) who only exist in FM24…however, doing it the manual way will be susceptible to the scope being limited to the top-level ‘big leagues’ as I can't check every staff record for every club…

 

Just as an aside: the exact job titles/roles cannot always be matched. Alas, for this, our options are the ones that FM24 provides us. Therefore, for example, I would not classify it as a mistake that Vinai Venkatesham is listed as the Managing Director and Matthew Collecott as a ‘Director’. This is the best-fit available.

I'm going to ask for a refund if the likes of KSI, Snoop or Trump and his “nobel peace prize” are added to the updates 😂

A fix was pushed earlier today, targeting a resolution for the ‘incorrect staff roles’ that we have been seeing in the FM24 Data Update.

 

I have done some quick spot-checks and tests and I believe we are now in the correct state again. I must caveat that with the fact that I have only had a chance to check a few, individual examples.

 

From everything we could establish - including the examples, which have been very useful from those who shared them - we believe this was affecting non-playing staff who were originally playing staff (in the FM24.3 database). The result was that many of them were being set as first-team coaches (incorrectly).

 

Since the fix was pushed out, I am now correctly seeing non-playing staff in the correct roles in all cases I have been able to spot-check. Those with access to the Enhanced Data Update will have access to the resolved version right now, whilst those with access to the free Data Update may need to wait until the overnight release.

 

Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused - but I think it's been cracked now.

A lot of the winter transfer loans are showing as £0 wage contribution. Also some staff issues remain, which I listed above. Some player loans remain missing also. Example - Asier Villalibre is on loan at Racing Santander but the loan isn't active on the latest update I've downloaded. All on FM24.

Just to confirm, a latest build of the CA/PA update (which is part of the Enhanced/Classic FM Data Update) was performed. It was finalised this morning, about 60 minutes ago.

 

To that end, it will be included from tomorrow's update onwards (unfortunately, it was completed too late for the build that was released about 7 hours ago).

 

On the note of presenting the ‘last update’ on the download page systematically, we are not going to do that because we are now very close to integrating these changes to be re-processed, daily, as standard - which was always the goal.

I've not been able to replicate this/seen this happen. For context, because of the issues with the player contracts today, I have probably - using today's update - started about 20-25 different test games throughout the course of the day.

 

Are you able to share screenshots of your ‘editor data’ folder and/or the in-game ‘enabled files’ view? What I am looking for is definitive confirmation that you are only using content from the Data Update.

 

This specific error suggests there is an issue with a file that includes ‘Advanced Rules’ for a nation (i.e. league rules/structure etc). In the Data Update, there haven't been any such files introduced since 27th August, so I am struggling to align an obvious reason for the sudden appearance of this kind of error for you.

Doesn't let you start a new save with the fixtures on the new winter update it says it needs to be tested and verified?
