I don't think anything major needs changing tbh, although little touches like notifications when you have been replied/quoted in a forum message would help discussions flow. I think having little icons showing when members are online would be a nice little touch as well. If i've missed these and they are already a feature then my bad, just haven't seen them yet.

I think getting people to apply for positions is probably the wrong way to go about it, I'm sure I've read somewhere you have hired staff before and they haven't stayed around too long. I think the best way to do it is see who helps improve the site over time and adds discussion to it and go from there. Then as the site improves you can approach members for certain roles who you know should stick around. Also that way you know what you're getting when you hire some one, the process is probably longer to get the positions filled, but at least you will get the right members to fill the position and it will hopefully save you from being in a position to ask for staff again in the long run.

@Fantastic; I'm sure the OP says if you get sacked the challenge is over so I doubt you'll get any points for the second attempt.

I like the fact you have to start Automatic, so you can build your reputation up over the 3 years of the save (although it shouldn't take long in this league).

I'm struggling for a save at the moment so will give this a go, is there a limit on leagues I can load ?

I had the same issue with one of my tactics I was trying to create, similar to the one you're using by the sounds of it I switched my half back to a DLP defend duty and that seemed to do the trick. I think with using a half back it's essentially a 3rd centre back and your other centre halfs tend to spread wider than they should.

There could be other factors in it though I guess, I have play much higher defensive and I have my centre backs set to close down more. Not sure if it will keep them more narrow but it's something worth trying.

Before I lost my save I started in South Africa with Sivutsa Stars got about two seasons in and my saves didn't back up correctly when I updated my computer, found it hard to get back in to FM since so it may be something I'll try again.
