I'm a Portland season ticket holder, and I can assure you that the third kit (our best imho) are thankfully still seeing use until next season. Just FYI MLS' kit policy is more or less 2 years per kit design, with alternating new home/away + third every year. I will be sad when the Timbers third kit is retired
