Not sure if this is the right place to talk about this but this year the game is trash. Unplayable. Rage inducing. I can totally understand the game is down to tactics, heavily if so, but think about it, maybe some FM fans bought it to play it in free time, people do not have free time to study this game from 0.
And even if the tactics are understood, they're just not working at all. I read tons of guides on SI Forums for nothing. The game is just crap. I took over Man City, they were 14th basically with the same crop of players as in the start of the game and I create a decent tactic. Guess what happens, drew away at Brighton and lost at home against Hull. Can't even think what would have happened if I was actually managing one of those lower standard teams. I would have been trashed by the mighty City, most definitely.
Another experience, West Ham, get destroyed by City 0-5, then at home against Arsenal 1-4. My players can't fucking score at all even if I beg them. Too many ridiculous set piece goals. Too many ridiculous clumsy players.
The last experience today was with Arsenal. I downloaded a Tycoon save game but I noticed the player managed Arsenal and basically bought the best players around. So I thought well I should give this a go. The team was undefeated, guess what happens. First match, first loss. Against Spurs, who were like midtable. Can't say that the next match I drew with a Championship side in FA Cup just lol. It's like you tell me right now if a manager uses tactical tweaks to exploit a bigger side's weaknesses, he will win that match. Like if Leeds manager is a tactical genius, he will be able to beat the likes of City. It's hilarious.
