I don't know if this thread is the correct one, sorry if I'm wrong.

After downloading the latest update I can not find Paul Mcguiness anymore on the game. Was he removed or should I load more English leagues to have him on my game?

Hi mate - downloaded the file but get the red triangle of doom for Scotland, Premiership and League two have one too many clubs and League one not enough apparently, rendering Scotland unusable in-game. Are you getting this as well?

This can only make configs for normal size logos. But make the config for normal logos and copy the config from normal to small and open the config and press Ctrl+h and replace logo with icon.

this how the config looks like for back right : <record from="xxxx" to="graphics/pictures/club/xxxx/logo/background/right"/>

And back left : <record from="xxxx" to="graphics/pictures/club/xxxx/logo/background/left"/>

Thanks for the continued help mate. Have made the xml with the resource you provided - when you say press CTRL + H, what is meant to happen? Pressing Command + H on mac just hides it obviously but CTLR + H doesnt seem to do anything - and what steps do I need to do to replace logo with icon?

2 years ago he was Hungarian national team coach. I think it's not so long ago. Probably better to leave him as a free agent for now.

Wouldn't changing him to non-player make more sense so he can be assigned to a team if and when he signs with one?

Well... The Monaco 3rd team is added by a editor file you have added, it is not in the default database. So to resolve this you probably need to add a logo for the third team. I have made a folder for you that you can use. Then find the monaco logos (id=826) and copy them and rename them the id of the 3rd team (2082083185) and put them in the appropriate folders in "my metallic logos". Then use this app : https://sortitoutsi.net/downloads/view/848/fm-graphics-configurator-for-pc
to make configs for all four club sub folders (normal, small, back left and right).

Thank you for the clear instructions - have copied and renamed the relevant files. Is there an alternative to the Graphics Configurator for Mac users? Have tried to open it with PlayOnMac and CrossOver but no luck

okay... that makes sense... first of all this how it is suppose to look. But if you want to change it, you can. It is the nations folder (confederations logos) and flags folder (large, medium, and small) you have to moderate. The confederations logo you want to show elsewhere is in the nations normal and small folder. First if you want the small confederations logo instead of flags all you have to do is to rename the config in small flags to config_bak. Then if you want confederations badge under nation profile it is the medium flag folder you have to change. Copy and paste the confederations logos from nations/normal to flags/medium (important do not copy the config). If you also want confederations badges under next match, then it is the flag/large you have to change. Same thing... copy and paste the confederations logos from nations/normal to flags/lage (important do not copy the config). That's it

Only thing to remember is that if you apply updates (and there are changes to nations logos), you will have to do this again with the updated logos.

Thanks for the help pal. Which file should I moderate to get the correct logo to show when viewing players on 3rd teams of clubs that have them?

As you can see here it works when viewing the 3rd team squad

the 'DBU' logo is correct in the top left corner, just need to know what to do to get the same logo to replace the Danish flag and the same for all countries as I can see the correct football federation logo in the top left but then the main photo is just that of the flag

Some people write to me to move him to Chelsea now and the other people to make him a future transfer. Given that July 1 is already in 10 days I decided to move him now to Chelsea. In 10 days you have to do it anyway.

I think this poses an interesting question. I think it is fair to say that most people who use the data update provided by this community will do so for new saves that will often start in July 2019 (default pre-season start date for most countries in FM20). Given that data updates are updated 'real-time', or as close to real-time as possible, this poses issue like the one mentioned above with Werner and for keeping things 'realistic'.

I understand people pointing out that players contracts are sometimes prematurely terminated from teams as we approach their end of contract dates i.e. Hakimi's loan to Dortmund is currently approved as terminated on our data update, but in reality the player is with the club until June 30th, while Werner has been transferred to Chelsea on our update but remains with RB Leipzig until he switches to Chelsea on July 1st in actuality, etc. I also understand @Mateee's point in saying well we will have to make these changes in a matter of days anyway, so why not do them now?

Just putting this out there for discussion, but as a way in trying to achieve a balance of workload for mods and honoring the 'realism' that we all seek to maintain, would a potential option for data updates be to follow the 'future transfer' model? As Kingrobbo did for the transfer of Pedro to Roma (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/player/1510305). Would ensuring all player transfers to only happen following this model be an improvement on the current way of immediately transferring players for new saves?

Doing transfers this way will ensure that the data update will still maintain realism for new saves as once we start a new save players like Werner will be set to join their new clubs on X date as opposed to prematurely being a part of the team, players can be set to 'leaving on a free' at the end of their contract as opposed to just being set to 'released' i.e. Zabaleta (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/player/951034), Sanchez (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/player/78011012) and Ngakia (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/player/28116533) are all free agents on our data update, when being set to 'leaving on a free' on June 30 2020 would be more accurate and reflective of real life situations.

I will leave feedback on the intricacies of whether or not this can be done to the mods/experts but just wanted to throw this out for discussion really and see what the community think.

If you open the current config file, it's not too hard to figure out which parts you need to edit, really. Just copy it, remove the existing obsolete text and insert just the ones you want to use.

Have a Google at how config files work in FM, I'm sure you'll find guides much more helpful and descriptive than anything I can write offhand
