It's a lovely skin so long as you're not playing as a team who wear predominantly black, as the team and player names are invisible, as they are written black on black.

No, not working for me either, and I'm not uninstalling the game and re-installing, thereby losing all my other graphics packs, just for the sake of one skin, no matter how nice it looks.

Was he under pressure? There's a new addition to the match engine this year where both you and the opposition can tell your forward players to put pressure on the keeper so he can't distribute it short. Could be that.
As for the game itself, although much of the UI is an improvement, the tactics screen and the ingame quick sub screen is a complete disaster. FM14 had that part of the game nailed perfectly, why they had to change it to something so utterly cumbersome is beyond me, it's putting me off the entire game, which is a shame, as most of the rest of it has been spot on so far.

How DARE SI bring out a game where you actually have to work at building a team. Shame on them.
The ME is fine this year, bar a couple of minor glitches which will be ironed out, in fact it's probably better this year than it has been for many incarnations of the game.

I've never really tried it myself, but you do have the option of what appears in between highlights. It shouldn't be too hard to manipulate it to show player ratings in between I wouldn't have thought. Have a play around, you can't break it.

The match engine has been great for me. Nowhere near as predictable movements or passes or goals than in previous versions. In one game, my keeper raced out of his goals (not straight on, sorta towards the left touchline) line, then just had to stop when he realised the winger was getting there first. Winger simply lobbed the ball from the wing and it crept in. Despite being annoyed at losing a goal in this way, I had to respect the ME for the whole move, that wouldn't have happened in other versions. I also like the way the wind can dictate where the ball goes. I've had keepers kick the ball out and it get nowhere near the halfway line as they're playing into the wind.
Fantastic game.

This happened to me last night, and I gave the missus the fright of her life when I yelled 'YASSSSSSSSSSSS' at the top of my voice.
"He thinks it's real" she was overheard in conversation some time later...

The two games I've started since it came out have both already been more enjoyable than any save I had on FM12. I actually feel as though my decisions make a difference, rather than stumble onto a winning formula by chance.
Love this game to bits at the moment.

Ok, first of all, is the full copy of your game a download, or have you ordered the boxed game from a retailer?
If it's the latter, you'll have to input the code from the back of the instruction manual into Steam. I also found out earlier I needed the disc complete the whole installation contrary to advice I'd had before. Without the disc in the tray, it'll stick at about 81% install.

Of course, this is no use in your own league as you have to be 'subscribed' to that.
It's something they either need to change, or an option has to go into preferences to switch it on/off. Given you can get round the problem in other leagues by unsubscribing, I wouldn't have thought this would be a massive task for the developers.

Is this also the case for people who have pre-ordered the disc version for the full release, rather than just a download.
I d/loaded the Beta with Steam last week, and have a decent save going just now. When I get the disc through tomorrow, and pop it in the tray, am I going to have to install the whole thing again from the disc? Therefore losing any save games I have now? Not sure how that'll work.
