It's more the beautiful football we played, and it's exciting to watch. Do you need get excited when Suarez, Sturridge or Coutinho play well or the side as a whole plays some lovely football? Or are you above that?

It is amazing how smug the Arsenal fans on here are when their team do well. Dare I say it, but the Man Utd fans are actually quite decent, except Kevo.

Always expected today to be rough.

Sounds like Moyes didn't help himself by making stupid substitutions, he's been tempting fate by making spastic changes for a few weeks. Ah well, onwards and upwards.

I was graduating today so I missed a United league match for the first time in god knows how long, but from the sounds of it I'm glad I missed it!

It sounded like Fellaini was slow and poor, subs apparently shit. I can understand our slow start because of our tough opening games, and understand Moyes taking time to adjust taking over from Sir Alex, but one point from two home games against WBA and Southampton is fucking ridiculous.

Moyes seems a little too safe at the moment, as does Fellaini.

What's the story behind Fellaini? By all accounts he was an outstanding player for Everton, all over the pitch. Why does that not transfer over to your team?

HE SITS WHERE HE WANTS JOSE MOURINHO HE SITS WHERE HE WANTS!

Just got back from the Bridge and I love fans that stop sining as soon as they start losing. The Cardiff fans where singing continuously from before the game then as soon as it went 2-1 Chelsea they never sung again. Best song for them had to be when they where 1-0 and they sung "1-0 to the sheep shaggers". Hazards 1st goal was hilarious just watching the keeper have the oh fuck look

I'm not smug, I'm just delighted with how well we're playing. I'm still terribly worried that it'll all blow up in our faces before long.

He's playing scared, I think.

Looks to be in genuine awe at the club he's and is currently hiding, I know that sounds horribly arrogant but I can't think of a better description of how he comes across.

There's deeper issues than that, though. He's 6ft + but doesn't compete physically, I don't think I can ever recall him running. He has poor positional awareness and he never tracks his runners from midfield. On the ball he's appalling, his first touch off anything other than his chest lets him down more often than not, he can't pass further than 2 ft without losing possession and he basically can't contribute usefully except in the final third, where there are far better players than him.

As well as that, most United fans can't stand him and think we vastly over paid so he probably gets harsher treatment than more popular players.

Hopefully it's just a perfect storm of problems, including not having played in the position we want him to for over a year and teething issues. Because so far he's been dire.

Pretty much agree with this. He's obviously a talented player, but he's playing too safe.

It's a foul.

Fifa Rulebook:

'When a goalkeeper has gained possession of the ball with his hands, he cannot be challenged by an opponent.

'A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball while the ball is between his hands and any surface (e.g. ground) and while in the act of bouncing it on the ground.'

I thought it was common knowledge about this law nowadays?

Fellaini will come good. He performed at Everton for a consistent period of time and if the problem is he's a little starstruck then that'll surely fade in time. Also, he's come to United during a pretty turbulent time, so the transition might not be as smooth as it might have been.

I doubt the £28m paid for him will ever look like a fair deal but he'll get better as the weeks go on.

I can only speak for myself but there's no smugness on my part. I'm enjoying our great form but I'm not acting as if it's anything more than a good run at the moment, and I'm acutely aware that one bad result could throw us off course. I'll happily admit that I'm enjoying United's shit start but I'm not talking as if we're going to finish above them at this point.
