Apparently Garay has joined Zenit for €6m.

Fucking bargain.

EDIT: Ah, €6m went to Benfica, rest to third parties. €15m in total.

Considering you guys have been (allegedly) going for him for the best part of 4 seasons 15 million euros does look like a bargain.

Hull buying Robert Snodgrass for £6.5m is very much Sunderland buying Craig Gardner for £6.5m

Quite admirable the way Steve Bruce manages like an average FM player.

Transfer list > Filter unrealistic transfers - then just bids the asking price.

I think Snodgrass might be an alright signing. He'll give a decent amount of technical ability to what is mostly a team full of hard workers.

I wanted Newcastle to sign Snodgrass given we need another winger. Daresay we probably have someone cheaper in mind - namely nobody.

FC Barcelona are ready to offer an £80 million player-plus-cash deal including Alexis Sanchez and Pedro for Liverpool FC striker Luis Suarez - From the BBC gossip page. That would be insanity

That might work, assuming you can loosen Mike Ashley's iron grip on his wallet.

Moyes set to become new Galatasaray boss.

On the plus side, he's done the decent thing of joining a club with enough money to buy Fellaini. Make it so Moyes.

A Galatasaray spokesman told Press Association Sport: "The president has given a speech about it.
"He said that we just spoke with David Moyes and he said that he can come to Galatasaray but he is not one of the main targets for us.
"They just spoke to each other, exchanging ideas - that it is it. It is true the president talked with David Moyes.
"We are not in a rush, we are waiting for the end of the World Cup. The first two targets are [Germany coach] Joachim Low or [USA coach] Jurgen Klinsman

I'm really surprised Shaw has gone to Man Utd. Not because he's not good enough for United or anything, but because he's a Chelsea fan. I can only imagine that Mourinho didn't want him, if Chelsea were in for him surely he would have gone there.

That then begs the question why Chelsea didn't want him, losing Lampard, with Cole and Terry definitely gone within at least 12 months means they desperately need English players. What's more without Luiz they basically only 5 defenders (including Cole and Terry) Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta and then Cole.

I'm shocked Chelsea weren't in for him all things considered. Must simply be that Mourinho doesn't rate him

Apparently his parents encouraged him because they considered United a 'more stable club who don't rely on a sugar daddy' (not that Chelsea do anyway, but thats whats been said) and because we have a better record with youth, we also paid higher wages than Chelsea were willing, too, it seems.

Pretty sure they did want him though.

Imagine this next season, a front three of Neymar, Messi & Suarez with Xavi, Iniesta & Rakitic feeding them from midfield, not to mention Alves and Alba bombing down the wings to help.

Apparently Galatasaray are interested in signing Moyes. But they will wait until the WC is finished because their primary targets are Joachim Low and Jurgen Klinsmann.

I think Chelsea backed out of the race for Shaw after realising how much we were offering him in terms of wages.

So long as we get a decent price for him, and reinvest it appropriately, I'll be happy.

Xavi has said he's moving to Qatar. But even so stopping that would be an unenviable mission.
