Must have been the alcohol because it's really not that hard to follow.

I'd post more, but there's rarely any discussion in here. It's mostly some bloke who posts that he's seen Taken 3 and thought it was dope.

Liked how they incorporated dirty cops all the way up to the very top and even touched on corporations owning politicians.
Also fuck me Abbie Cornish is so fucking hot.
Ice Man
Yeah, I thought that it was a good watch. Decent cast as well.

I'll indulge you, ya cunt.
What did you think of the ending?
Franck
I really haven't thought that much about the ending, I think the real greatness of the film was in the journey to get there.
Ninja
I did not get that from the film at all. I think Keaton's character is mentally unstable, clearly struggling to cope with the idea that he is not talented, not appreciated, and famous for a role that is not at all serious. He's motivated by the desire to prove he's a proper actor, hence why he takes such personal umbrage when the theatre critic tells him she's going to pan his show. Birdman is a constant reminder of Riggan's perceived failings as an actor.
But more so than that, when he wakes up in the hospital room and he is a critically acclaimed actor, Birdman is still there. He has achieved what he wants to but yet still suffering from the voice in his head telling him he's a failure, so he goes to the ledge.
What happens after I don't know, he may have jumped and his daughter looked up and smiled at the idea he'd finally found peace (suffering from her own traumas too), but I doubt it, she may have been joining in some shared psychological delusion with her dad, but that seems equally unlikely. I suspect the directors don't really know what they were trying to portray either and left it deliberately ambiguous for the sake of not letting the film become preachy and about its message.

On the whole, yes. It's not amazing, but its entertaining enough, and there's some good performances. The riot in the church scene is some excellent action cinema.
Is Jupiter Ascending worth a look?

Nearly saw it on Wednesday but couldn't agree with my brother on seeing it, so didn't bother. Wasted one of my last EE Wednesday codes on it as well.
The film has a great appearance, but it sounds like the characters and plot are poor.
Franck
Supposed to be shit.

Also, does anyone else on here use Letterboxd? Really cool social media site for films.
Franck
Yes.
Tell me your username so I can stalk you. Or just follow me. Either of them works.
