So what are people doing tonight?

I think we're just going to the local pub, as I don't drive going to one of the cities isn't really an option as we'd have to fork out for a hotel for two nights as there won't be any transport back to my village on New Years day.

I wasn't going to do anything but my parents are having a house party so I'll most likely be drinking with 40-somethings for most of the night. It was either that or go out in Luton/ Dunstable, but I'd rather fork out my own eye than do that.

Will be at home with my family which isn't to bad and tomorrow I'll be getting 200% on top of my normal pay for the day, it's worth it.

My mates having a party so it saves me having to go out anywhere, and a lot of money. I almost certainly wouldn't go out to town for NYE if he wasn't having a party, I'd probably just go to a few local pubs like xmas eve. HATE NYE in town, everywhere's packed, you have to pay to get in everywhere and places that you normally pay to get into are at least twice as expensive just to get in, nevermind the drinks. Oh and there's like a 75% chance of there being more nobheads out than usual.

Even the pubs in my village are infested with pricks. One of the pubs that went out of business in June was taken over by some couple just for the Christmas/New Years period, if it's successful enough they'll keep it open but it costs an absolute fortune apparently. It's a really old listed building but in quite a bad way, the beer is expensive (£3.45 a pint for fuck's sake) and the rent must be an absolute bomb.

I was planning on going out tonight and getting hammered, but I went into town on Wrens night (26th) and it was far far to busy for my liking ... And tonight is gonna be the same, if not worse because loads of people come back to DIngle for New Years Eve. I mean its gotten ridiculous at this stage. So instead I'm just gonna go work in my pub for the night, and have a laugh with the locals. Much better craic than go into town and have every cunt bump off you. Might go for a few pints after then. I've an 18th party to go to tomorrow anyway if I'm in the mood, so least I'll have a bit of spending money after tonight.

I didn't go to sleep all last night and got pretty tooled up at home. Sad, I know. I have to places to go tonight but if I do go out it won't be until late, quite possibly after midnight. I'm fucked as it is and I'll get irritated not being able to sit down.

I was originally meant to be going to a party for the transgender community but the person who invited me I don't think is going anymore. Would've been up for that.
Honestly might rather just stay at home and relax at this stage.

I've got a question about tax. The other week I got my payslip from work, it was £104.58 (£4.98 minimum wage x 21 hours), yet I paid about £21 in PAYE tax. Am I supposed to be paying tax on minimum wage, notwithstanding the Jobseekers aspect? If not, how do I reclaim this, is there a form etc? My employer didn't tell me anything about it, since we don't have a manager and head office sort out payroll.

You should be paying tax but probably not that much. 20% on £100 doesn't sound right. I had the same problem with that when I started my job I have now. I'm on £1k a month and I was getting taxed £250 or something. Call HMRC, gave them my tax code, said it was wrong and sorted it. Got a nice rebate when I figured it out too.

You shouldn't be paying tax, anything under £150 a week shouldn't get taxed iirc, but cause youre on emergency tax thingy (PAYE) you'll need to fill a form in and it'll all get paid to you at the end of the tax year.

Had a full blown shave, had a shower, blown my nose to fuck. I should be fine. A little anxious but as long as I don't do anything between now and eight o'clock I should be relatively sober by the time I get there.
