Needing to buy a new laptop to play football manager, as my old one is on its last legs, and I aren't the most technologically gifted person, so looking for advice on what one to buy.
Now I know the details for the new FM hasn't been released, but I am hoping people can point in the right direction 🤞🏻.
Would any of the below be able to support FM?

Also which one would be the best to go for to play FM?

I will be looking to run quite a few leagues at a good pace, so a better spec seems to be the best thing to do.
I was going to go and get a new laptop and FM17 at the weekend, but may well just wait while FM18 is out, and then go into PC World to sort it out.
Cheers for your advice though 👍🏻

FM Base
This one would be good.

Would that cope easily with about eight nations opened, with most of the leagues activated and on a medium database?
Also I would want it not to struggle when I press continue.
Reason I ask is I went into PC World today and they said that one would struggle and I'd need a better spec laptop.

My best mate literally works in PC Worlds - they get commission for big sales, he is literally upselling and bullshitting you.
It would run it fine, yeah, you wouldn't be able to load the entire database and maybe your 3D graphics would need to be turned down a notch, but other than that it's perfectly acceptable for FM.

It does depend on whether you care about the 3D match engine. From the get go FM is a number crunching game which relies on CPU strength, then you add that these are coming from a database which is loaded into RAM. So the bigger the database the more RAM you're using and the more numbers being crunched. if you add the 3D match engine on top of that you are using the same CPU and RAM to process the graphics too...
Maybe my i7, GTX 1050i, 16GB Behemoth is overkill, but I'd never settle for anything less than an i5 in any build as the i3 may aswell be a celeron. and I would suggest getting 16GB of ram with a min of 8 (especially if you're gonna use graphic packs) if you can get a cheeky mobile GPU with dedicated RAM then you're laughing as you're splitting the load right off the bat.
Just my 2 cent's.
Oh and also, I dislike how much information you can view on 13" displays so opted for a 17" one, which isn't a must and 15" would of been fine. I dread to see an 11" display

I completely agree. If you can afford it, do what YouReyKarr is suggesting. I upgraded to a similar setup as his and I love it. You won't regret it.
