Smart choice by the lad in my opinion.

Would be nothing worse for him at this stage than to go and sit on the bench for a few years.

Yeah, I doubt he'd get a look in before Courtois and Cech.

Seems to have his head screwed on, good on him.

Why not Butland to West Ham? Instead of Robinson.

Seems weird that they are going after him when they already have Courtois, maybe the Barca rumours are true.

Gahahaha.

Sky Sports sources' understanding that QPR have made an offer for Anzhi Makhachkala defender and former Blackburn man Chris Samba.

I honestly don't understand what the joke is here

They've triggered Samba's release clause now i believe, brilliant signing he'll be.

Ah fair enough, Samba would be a good signing for most teams, fuck knows why he would want Crouch though.

In fairness, DJ Campbell and Jay Bothroyd are sub-par, and aren't Zamora and Andy Johnson injured?

The fact that he was shocked at how much some of the QPR players where earning, yet going out spending shit loads of money and probably giving new players big wages anyway. I'd imagine Samba is on a fair bit at Anzhi. He'll turn them into Portsmouth.

Redknapp was angry that the wages weren't being spent on his overpaid players.

Redknapp was angry that the wages weren't being spent on his overpaid players.

Or rather, he was angry that wages were being spent on players who clearly weren't worth it and were using QPR as a glorified retirement home.

I really see nothing wrong with QPR's transfer policy under Redknapp, it's not enlightened, but he's signing mostly Premier League proven players who have experience of the scrap.

It's worth far more for them to stay up and have these players than go down.

But is that a good thing or a bad thing? I seem to remember that Stoke rejected the opportunity to sign Demba Ba because of a "Dodgy Knee"

Guess that's the Paulinho deal off with them bringing in him, Schelotto and Kuzmanovic.

Becchio in talks with Norwich. Good for Celtic, hopefully we'll keep Hooper until at least the summer.

I hope they get relegated regardless of what happens tomorrow.

Arsene, please do something tomorrow. I'd be happy with a 17-year-old Ligue 2 midfielder at this point. You've broken me.

BBC Sport's chief football writer Phil McNulty: "Everton will continue talks with Sevilla this morning about a deal for Spain striker Alvaro Negredo.

"David Moyes switched his attention to Negredo after an £8.6m deal for FC Twente midfield man Leroy Fer collapsed. It is a bold move by Everton - Sevilla rate Negredo at around £13m but their current financial state may force them to accept less.

"Despite a taciturn response to questions about possible transfer business after last night's win against West Brom, Moyes is also chasing another as yet unnamed Spanish target."

A strike partnership of Jelavic and Negredo sounds pretty good.

To be fair that would be the worst thing about QPR going down, we wouldn't get to see 'Arry poking his head out of his car window talking bollocks
