This file will need to be re-applied if/when official patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
Some of these changes, ESPECIALLY THE CLUB NAMES, do NOT apply in FM Touch or in existing save-games. There's a workaround for that in the first post.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 2020 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed, such as Champions League, Europa League and Premier League displaying instead of EURO Cup, EURO Vase and Premier Division respectively. It will also fix the fact that the German and Japanese National teams don't call up real players and that the Bayern Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach managers have fake names. These are all fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Brazilian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian (including Juventus) and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, encompassing most major footballing nations and continents. Brazilian clubs' text colours are also changed through an editor data file. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all the files in this paragraph to work, however, you will need to start a new game.

This should be what your editor data folder looks like now. There may initially be a config.xml file in this folder and it can be safely overwritten; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, Japanese national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not immediately. Do keep in mind that this file does not add Japan-based players, who are not in the official database and will need a third-party add-on to be created and added.
Club names are only changed if you apply the editor data files before starting a new game. For a workaround if you've already started a new save-game, then please read the opening post of this thread.

You can find these folders by clicking, in the Finder, the Go menu in the menu bar, then choose Go to Folder and type the folder path name (obviously inserting your username), then click Go.
You can get to the Library folder by simply selecting Go from the top bar and holding "alt" key - The Library folder suddenly appears on the drop down
For Mac Lion users, the Library folder will be hidden. Use this link to find out how to show it.
For those struggling to find the Steam and Steam Apps folder etc using Mac with the new OS High Sierra, this link below shows how you can unhide your Library folder which will then let you find the other folders.

Dont mind me I have sorted it. I had placed the editor data folder in the wrong place.

Excellent. Do you know what folders I need to put the files in on the iPad?
mons
Not really sure, do the paths in the main post not help at all? Hard for me to give better info as I simply don't have the game on that platform

In the root directory should it be /data/database/db/2010? And do I need to also add the editor data folder in the root?

I believe that should be the correct folder for the dbc, edt and lnc folders.
As for the editor data folder, I don't believe it works on FMT. But the editor data folder on PC is in the same path as the folder where saved games are located, so it could well be the same on iOS. When you save your game on iOS, are you able to see the path where it is saved? Can you follow it and check if that is indeed the case?
@Euzio, as per the above. We're still trying to work out the specifics as I'm afraid I don't have the game on iOS so I rely exclusively on second-hand info to provide assistance on this...

The saves are stored in games folder

mons
Is there a folder named editor data in the same location?
Did you apply the files from this download on your work PC as well? If you did so after loading up your save, then that will be the cause of it...
xideonn
Yea i did it after because i wanted to try if it works. What should i do now? i still have the save on my usb, im gonna bring a new one tomorow from my laptop too. The download is applied but still Zebere. Its like it corruped my save even tho its fresh.
no, the editor data is in another path
yuelvic
There’s no editor data in root or inside the games folder. These are the folders in fmt ios: games, Pictures and tactics

This download deletes some files from the SI folder. Occasionally, when an official hotfix/update is released, these files are recreated. For some reason, if you resume a saved game with these files in place, then the Brazilian kit colours and names issue and the Juventus name, will re-appear automatically. Which is why I recommend that you download and re-apply the file as soon as an official hotfix/update is released.
Hmmm, then it may well not be possible

Colours yes but not designs, no.

I've got an issue in my current save. It seems like all non-international players in Germany have been turned into greyed players. Does anyone know how to fix this?
mons
That's a strange one. Can I have a screenshot of what you mean?

Make sure the edt/permanent and lnc folders in the 2000, 2001 and 2010 folders are exactly as per the screenshots in the main post
You will probably have some extra files in there (which this download removes). Applying this download should see Sarri's name revert back to normal
If not, give me screenshots of the above folders so I can guide you
WullieBoyd1993
My editor file doesn't look the same as the other one shown on the post and my name changes aren't working. followed the steps and still not working
mons
Then you probably haven't installed this download correctly. Can I have screenshots of your editor data folder and of your lnc folder?
