I don't see any adboards in 2D View. Is that due to these custom adboards? They work perfectly in 3D view.. but not in 2D.

I’m not 100% certain but I am pretty sure that the 2D view has been scaled back in this version of FM and no longer supports adboards, does the 2D view support the standard FM20 video ads?

It seems to be only an issue with video ads. Standard ads are being shown.

Hey I've tried installing this but am having a couple issues. Most teams/competitions work fine apart from the league I am actually playing in. All the hoardings are the generic FM 2008 adverts with all the fan banners being completely plain black. The database is slightly modified as well, didnt know if that would affect it. I was hoping for some guidance.

What league are you playing and what do you mean by modified database? New leagues/comps etc?

Team started off in the 4th tier but now in the Maltese Premier League. The squad registration rules are different and the 4th tier is no longer split into two halves but no new competitions.

As above rename the “HD” folder “SD” it looks as your system can’t cope with HD settings

I'm afraid it didn't work. When I use High, Very High or Low graphics settings the video ads are still black.

I can see the correct custom ad boards but not the custom video ads. On the contrary I can see the video ads that come with the game (FM trailer etc.)

Everything is installed in the appropriate folders as I just renamed the folder to Football Manager 2020 instead of 2019 on the C: Drive and moved the C\My Documents files from the previous FM2019 location to the new FM20 location.

In FM2019 I had no such problems and everything was working fine.

Any idea what might be going wrong here?

As far as I know the video files go in the same location as they did for FM19, however, the graphics and xml file location has changed, see below

Thought as much.

This year, there's been a substantial change to how Mac FM documents are stored. Previously the files would automatically be generated in the Documents folder here:

Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Documents/Sports Interactive

Now the files will instead appear in the following location:

Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive

By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows:

Open Finder
Click ‘Go’ from the menubar
Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 2020’

You need to use the Resource Archiver (found in steam tools) to extract the simatchviewer_uncompressed file. Within the newly extracted folder all SI video ads can be found it the videos folder

I have this weird issue, on and off, can't figure out why it's doing it, it's not every game either and say it happens in one game then I quit and reload, it might not happen on the reload.

The video ads have a different colour cast on them (this looks like its picking up a green through them - EPL green maybe?);

I have the same exact issue on my 27" 5K iMac and 12" MacBook Retina.
It happens every few games. After a game with this issue, the following game is fine.
Think it's something Mac specific because I don't have this issue on my Windows laptop from work.
