Installation Instructions
1. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using Steam on Windows?
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. Although it is for an older version of FM, the steps are still the same. You need to use Winrar (or a similar program) to extract the downloaded file.
This is what the MP folder should look like for the respective version of FM you're using:
Anything beyond the blue line is up to you and how you want to structure your folders.
The preferences should look like in the below screenshot:
To get them to look like this, navigate to your preferences on the welcome screen or by using the drop-down menu near the top right of the menu within your save game.
Choose the advanced tab (the blue square within the screenshot above) and select all from the drop-down menu on the right (the red square within the screenshot above).
Scroll down to the interface section near the middle of the list, where you are to make sure that:
• the “Use caching to decrease page loading times” box is unticked
• the “Reload skin when confirming changes in Preferences” box is ticked
After clicking confirm, it may take a few seconds or minutes for all the graphics to be loaded and you should now see all the graphics you have downloaded appear in your save game.
Once your skin is reloaded, you can re-tick the "Use Caching to Decrease Page Loading Time" button so that the splash screen at the start takes a lot less longer to load. However, the above process needs to be undertaken every time you add graphics to your game to ensure that the game "reads" them.
2. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using a Mac OS?
From FM20 onwards, there's been a substantial change to how Mac FM documents are stored. Previously the files would automatically go in the Documents folder here:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
Now the files will instead appear in the following location:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows:
Open Finder
Click ‘Go’ from the menubar
Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 202x -> graphics’ (create the last folder if necessary
Anything beyond this path line is up to you and how you want to structure your folders.

3. I don’t want to have the megapack in the default user data folder – can I place it elsewhere and how would I do so?
You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.
The above step does not apply if you’re playing on Gamepass, in which case the user data location has to be the default one (i.e. Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 202x)
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
4. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using Gamepass?
If you're using Gamepass, then you have to use the default user data folder - point 4 above does not and can not apply to you.

Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
The likelihood is that you've put the iconfaces in the faces folder, or used the wrong config file for each folder. As a result, the smaller images (in 25x18) are being upscaled to be displayed in the person's profile, hence the blurring. Re-install the update pack again, making sure you put the contents of each folder in the right place.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download the cut-out faces that you want from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

Maybe I can't find it.
mons
Eh? There are big Download Torrent File buttons in your screenshots. Can you not click them?
hariz zakwan
That screenshot I took is old.
mons
We're not mind readers; why didn't you post this at the start then? The more info you provide at the outset, the more likely it is that we can help you, the quicker we can get there and the less time we spend to do so.
Frankly, I don't see much point in having older torrent files, especially since the likelihood of there being seeds for them is next to nil.
hariz zakwan
Ok sorry, I just want to find old facepack.
hariz zakwan
Yes it wasn't work
hariz zakwan
No I means I just want to say when I still can't find torrent facepack like 10.00, 9.00 and etc.
mons
Older files like that aren't available, I believe. Unless some kind user has an old torrent file they'd like to share, which is unlikely at this point frankly, you're out of luck.
hariz zakwan
Ok thank for the question. Well at least I have 11.00 and 9.00 .
cheers.

Hello guys.
I need a help about cut-out face pack
Two questions;
Thank you
mons
Yes, but it might be easier to download the torrent file for the base pack, followed by the change rar files.

Hi guys, I'm trying to upload a megapack with 466 new Serie A TIM photo sources, but It just infinite load the page, so here's a Mediafire link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/97o9wvcoyessuul/Serie_A_TIM_2021-22.rar/file
Lebohang Mokoena
Fantastic pack. Players should have their ID instead their name in the filename. If you want, I can rename them for you and upload individually the team packs. Although I think I need @mons approval too.
Edit: mention doesn't work
DarkNaples
So if they don't have the ID in the filename, the system can't upload the pack? If so, I can try again. By the way, I take the photos from DAZN site, and I noticed that there are also other leagues, so I think I'll do other pack in the next days 😉
Lebohang Mokoena
I think the system can upload it anyways, but with the ID, every source/cut is automatically assigned to its actual person. 🙂
mons
Sorry for not replying earlier but I was asleep when you posted this and couldn't download them at work because mediafire is blocked there, so couldn't look at them before now that I've got home.
I get a notification every time a post is made in this thread, so no need to tag me here 😉 If you are willing to rename them, it would be great - I just don't have the time to do it.
Images are in the megapack with the filename saved as the person's UID (Unique ID). You can find it either using the search function. There may be more than 1 John Smith in the database, but each John Smith will have different UIDs. As a result, to make life easier for cutters, packs should have the image filenames saved as the person's UID. Have a look at either of these packs to see what I mean. If an image is uploaded with the UID as filename, the forum can immediately associate it with the right profile too. Edit: As Lebohang said, just before I did 🙂
I suspect the reason that you couldn't upload them is that packs are to be uploaded in this manner and also restricted to no more than 50 images. It might be wiser to upload them by team, for example.
These kind of sources are great and really easy to cut. However, we already have well over 7,000 images pending to be cut, including loads of missing images. A lot of the players in this pack will have had high-quality images cut out recently. With this in mind, before uploading a whole team (and this applies to you too @Lebohang Mokoena if you want to undertake the above work), requesters should check to see whether the images being requested are actually to be considered as improvements. In view of the large backlog, and in order to avoid having the same people cut too often and to use cutters' time as wisely as possible, we don't automatically consider requests from newer sources as improvements. The most recent the image the better, naturally, and it's ideal to have players in their most recent hair/facial hair style. On the other hand, people like Chiellini have had 2 cuts in the last couple of months, and he looks the same in both, so there is little point in having him cut out again and taking up cutters' time which could be used for other, more pressing needs. I would imagine that at least half the Serie A players have had at least 1 cut in the last year and/or look broadly similar, so they wouldn't be considered as improvements.
Don't get me wrong, if somebody cuts them, then they will be taken into consideration - it's just that these kind of images don't really need to be requested. In short, before requesting a pack, check the person's current cuts so that you only request those images which fall under the definition of improvements outlined above. I'm only telling you this so that you use your time and ours as productively as possible and in as targeted a manner as necessary 👍

I'm sure some of them are improvements, and the sources are indeed very good, and very easy to cut - but I guess a lot simply aren't necessary or have been cut already so do keep that in mind 🙂

Can anyone send me cut out facepack for vincent ponsot? Technical director for lyon. Tq in advance
mons
The database has a search function here. The guy you mentioned does not have a cut-out in the megapack, however.
If you find a good source for him, you should request him here so that he can be added to the megapack. The bigger and clearer the image, the better 👍

Just wanted to say thanks @mons. I did what you said in regards to ticking cache and now my game loads instantly.
Even managed to find a skin for FM11 that I used 10 years ago haha.

Hello I was interested in updating faces for Peru, since I see that it is outdated. I can pass you a couple of faces so you can see them. Forgive my bad english .
mons
If you want to upload images for other people to be cut so that they can be added to the megapack, please do so using the upload image or upload pack button on this page. Be sure to upload images of a good quality - just because an image is newer does not automatically mean it's better, especially if it's small or of a low quality.
If you want to cut images yourself, have a look at the tutorials and guidelines thread, in which we outline what we look for in our cuts and provide video tutorials for the various techniques. With remove.bg and photopea.com, you can easily provide excellent cuts quite quickly and for free these days. As you're still starting, my recommendation would be to post the uncut image and the final cut-out in this thread, so that you can receive feedback. It is preferable to do so instead of uploading loads of images because if your first cuts need a lot of improvement, you'll know how to improve them before uploading batches of images 😉

Hi all, I have a problem. I don't have the ''config'' files for the CUT OUT files that put all the photos together in a ''notepad file''.
I have the PNG photos but unfortunately they don't appear anymore because of these missing files.
Could you please send them back to me? Thank you for your help.

Download the update pack, and it will contain the most recent config file, which you can then use 👍

I was disgusted, I'm alive again, thanks 🙂

Hi, I've downloaded full 17gb file, now trying to extract using WinRar (originally tried 7Zip but saw here WinRar is preferred), started off saying 8 hours to complete which I was fine with, now it's gone up to 27 hours 🤣 which is a bit less fine. My laptop is relatively old, will be getting a new one round November December but it still runs FM21 fine. Trying to extract to same local hard drive I have everything else for FM21 on, with nothing else running in the background, but it's looking like this facepack is going to take a bit long. Anyone any ideas? I have another smaller facepack already but I like this cutout one, next year will go straight for cutout, thanks if anyone can advise
mons
I'm aware that sometimes with such a big file, the computer gets the calculation of extraction time wrong but it does speed up after a while. Based on what other users say, it may take around an hour or slightly more with all conditions being ideal, so close any running programs and Chrome tabs for example.
I would recommend that you have as few apps open as possible when extracting it because I am led to understand the extraction process is very resource-intensive and focusing the computer's resources solely on it will speeden up the process. If you leave it overnight and it's only partly extracted means there's something wrong somewhere. Perhaps restarting the system and giving it a clean slate before starting the extract process might help.
Instead of repeating the process all over again for FM22, it might be worth downloading the update packs released since the torrent came out, i.e. update packs 13.01 to 13.14, and apply them chronologically 😉
Daniel Knowles
Thanks for the prompt response. Yeah I have all othe programs closed, started extraction from a new restart so nothing should be going on in the background. Luckily I'm working in the daytime so I can let it run, just would like it done sooner so I can get it moved into the right folder and check before I sit down for the evening session.
Advice noted on the process for next year, so the main file will remain the same and then just follow the updates for new faces? So say I'm December there will maybe only be the 13.01 update file to download? Like old like the torrent file contains the same number of files as the most recent update at the moment
