Installation Instructions
Step 1) Where to install the Standard Kits Megapack
Once you've downloaded a Football Manager Standard Kits Megapack and extracted it you should see a folder called "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack" on your computer. In this folder are two more folders called “graphics” and “editor data” (If you only have a graphics folder, that's fine just ignore anything related to “editor data”). You're going to need to move these folder into a special location where Football Manager can find it, this is different depending on if you're a Mac user or a Windows user.
Apple: Where to put the folders on Mac
You will need to go to the following location:
/Users/<yourname>/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023
You may find it difficult to find this exact location, to make it easier, use the following instructions:
a) Open Finder
b) Click “Go” from the menubar and select “Go to Folder” (alternatively press Shift+CMD+G)
c) Copy in the following: ~/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023
d) Open the “Football Manager 2023/graphics” folder (or create it if it doesn't exist)
e) Move the contents of "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack/graphics" into this ”graphics" folder
d) Open the “Football Manager 2023/editor data” folder (or create it if it doesn't exist)
e) Move the contents of "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack/editor data" into this ”editor data" folder
Windows: Where to put the FM Graphic Packs on Windows
On Windows you will need to go to the following location:
Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023
Then follow these steps:
a) Open the “Football Manager 2023/graphics” folder (or create it if it doesn't exist)
b) Move the contents of "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack/graphics" into this ”graphics" folder
c) Open the “Football Manager 2023/editor data” folder (or create it if it doesn't exist)
d) Move the contents of "sortitoutsi Standard Kits Megapack/editor data" into this ”editor data" folder
What if I don't have a graphics folder?
If you don't have a “graphics” folder simply create it 🙂
What if I don't have a Editor Data folder?
If you don't have a “editor data” folder in the download that's fine just ignore any instructions related to “editor data”. If there is an “editor data” folder in the download but not in your Documents, simply create it. 🙂
The downloaded files ends with .zip, .rar, .7z
If you have a file that ends in .zip, .rar or .7z then you'll need to extract the files before installing them. These files are called “archives” and are a way to compress a folder into a single file for downloading but you'll need to open them and get the folder that's in them before installing. DO NOT put these files in your graphics folder, it won't work.
Extract the files first and then put the extracted files into your graphics folder. If you're not sure how to extract them, look at these guides for windows or for mac.
Step 2) How to refresh graphics in Football Manager
Unfortunately even though you have the folder in the right place Football Manager won't automatically pick up the new files. You're going to have to go in and tell Football Manager to reload your graphics.
Simply follow these instructions:
a) Open Football Manager
b) Click Preferences on the start screen (or if you're already in a game FM Logo > Preferences)
c) Click the “Advanced” tab
d) On the right hand side select “interface”
e) Scroll down the Skin Heading
f) Uncheck “Use caching to decrease page loading times”
g) Tick “Reload skin when confirming changes to preferences”
h) Click “Reload Skin”
And now your graphics should be appearing.
You should go back into the preferences and follow the same steps but this time tick “Use caching to decrease page loading times”, this will help with the long term performance of the game, but needed to be unticked to install these graphics.

No issues for me downloading 2022.02, I'd say indeed make sure you download the correct version. You don't need 2022.01 anymore.
@Footygamer can you please double check?
Footygamer
Whoops this is fixed now.
Marc Calladine
yeah , working for me now , thanks guys

Great! Enjoy your save Marc!

Hi
I decided to download this and replace all my old SS kit files. So I moved the old folder out of the SIFolder I have set up.
I downloaded this new pack and put it in my kits folder as usual.
It did not work , infact it caused my game to crash and I was unable to reload my save or start FM again as it kept crashing
Then of course I removed the new pack and replaced it with my old SS kit pack and the game is up and running again.
Its not a massive deal but I guess I would like the newer kits ……any ideas what I may have done wrong?
Thanks
Jamaicaman90
That sounds unusual - graphics packs shouldn't cause crashes. Is this during an existing save or when starting a new one?
My advice first of all would be to cut your kits folder and paste it into your desktop as a backup. Then, open the game with no custom kits in your game folders at all, and reload the skin. Next, add in this pack in the appropriate folders and reload the skin again. The reason for the two steps is that the only thing I can think of would be that the game doesn't like finding the new kits when it expects the SS kits, and the first reload will stop that.
if this doesn't work, can you show the folders where you have placed the kits, and where you have placed the editor data files?

Hi
I have followed your instructions above but again it crashes my game,…….it makes beeping noises and then goes to the start screen, but without the options menu to start the game.
Not to worry I will stick to the ones I have. Thanks for your input though
Womaz
I would love to try and get this sorted. I am a bloody novice and clearly I am doing something obviously wrong ;-)
I have attached my screenshots below
So I am simply removing my SS Kits folder from the kits folder and replacing it with this new pack……..this is causing it to crash
Just to add I am wary of sharing screenshots so if there is any security risk at all please feel free to delete them
Jamaicaman90
Have you tried copying 1. SS kits and 3. FC'2 kits to your desktop and deleting them from your kit folder so ONLY 2. Standard kits is in there?
Your folder infrastructure looks correct, so if that doesn't work it might be a bug to raise with SI. However, if you've got config files for two or three different packs in there competing over the same teams it might be breaking your game.

@Jamaicaman90 @Womaz I followed the speech and I was wondering, maybe for some reason there is a problem if the kit folders (2D standard and 3D) are in the same path? I usually have two separate folders, in one I put the 2D kits, in the other the 3D ones. I don't know if this can cause problems, in case you do a test with two / three championships, upload them separately and see if it still gives you the same problem.
Womaz
I could try this but that would mean I have no 3D kits in my game surely?
Jamaicaman90
This doesn't cause a problem for me - everything is in one ‘Kits’ folder, then split by nation, then split by league, then within that a folder for 2D and a folder for 3D. @Womaz can you check that you don't have 2D and 3D graphics in the exact same folder (as in, you can preview the thumbnails for 2D and 3D kits at the same time when looking in a folder?
Womaz
I assume this would not make a difference as I have them in the same folder at present and it works. Like I say though I have very basic knowledge of file structure
Womaz
I have the 3D kits and 2D kits in different folders as shown in the screenshot above.
Humberto21
@Jamaicaman90 @Womaz Ok, yes, actually mine was a "desperate" suggestion 😀 since the problem you are experiencing is really anomalous.
Jamaicaman90
I think I revert to my previous suggestion - flag it on the bug reporting forum on the SI website.
I'm certainly at a loss to explain it, sorry.

@Womaz I was thinking .. some time ago they told me that for those who use the Mac there is a limit of file editor to load, I think it is 194, after which the game crashes with each new save. I have no idea if for windows there is a limit for the data editors, try to make a last attempt, load a save without using the data editors and see if it continues to crash. (obviously the data editors are to be used only and exclusively on Fm22).
Womaz
Thanks for your posts , they are much appreciated.
However when I think it’s starting to go over my head a bit I tend to just leave things as they are .
I usually just update the packs and have no issues at all. I just wanted to use this pack as it would be a total update to some of my out of date kits
Womaz
Just noticed the Editor files are like this in my files…..could this be the issue?
Jamaicaman90
Try extracting them to the editor data folder (not the kits folder) and removing the .zip files. It's unlikely to be the cause but it's possible.
Womaz
I am getting a new lap top in next few days so this might be the time to try this again.
I am sort of reluctant to delete the other kit packs as I have a lot

Absolutely love this kit pack. Been crying out for a one download kit megapack in the default style for years. Now my go-to of choice. Any plans for international & brazil league kits yet?
keep up the amazing work and many thanks!
wfm18
I'm not allowed to include Brazil from the authors of the 3D material. National team kits face issues with the 3D material meaning I'm unable to include them in a proper fashion. I guess the PES to FM converter could do some magic there but it is hard collecting all kits for all nations available + making the colorfix files. So I don't expect to include them for FM22. For FM23 we have to see if the model changes, if so that would require a lot of work and I expect us to rely on tools as the kitcreator to generate the 2D material (currently it's the more accurate Photoshop script).

Hi all,
Will there be an FM23 update in due course for this pack? Would love it, as it ensures the files stay nice and neat as a straight overwrite instead of mixing and matching packs.
Thanks!
Rommers26
Forgive me if this has been answered, what changes do the Editor Data files make? Do I need to use them or do I just need the kit graphics?
wfm18
Colors for the kits - so you have the exact colors as all the kits have in the menus etc.
wfm18
There will be a FM23 version coming out soon - all 2021-2022 will not be included in that pack.
Fleming89
I have installed the previous version for FM 2022 but the recently added download for FM 2023 doesnt have the same file structure.
Aren't they compatible?
BonoFM
Yeah the update pack is just numbers of kits that doesn't seem compatible with the main download. Not even sure how to combine it. Please advise…
wfm18
No, the FM23 download is for a completely new season (22-23) and we changed our file structure to be more future-proof. But still, you can keep both folders in your graphics, as long as the new one alphabetically comes first your game will load those kits in and not overwrite them with the 21-22 kits.
