I have all the competition name fix .inc files in place and utilise 8 editor files for all the other fixes.
when I change the competition name in my personal data editor file it does not translate to the game.
is this because I have to do it in all 8 editor files or because the completion name change.inc file is in place in the folder structure?
whats the best way to go about changing the comp names please?
mons
In order to change competition names through editor data files, any editor data file has to be in place before starting a new game.
If you're in the middle of a save game, then what you need to edit are the lnc files, specifically the Competitions and other Fixes.lnc file.

I have changed all my league names in the editor and saved it.
When i go to load up a new game i select my edited file along with downloaded licences fix .fmf files (photo attached)
Are one of the licence fix files taking precedence over my league name edits as they are not showing up when the game starts?

I am editing before i start a game.

Which is your edited file? I'm not seeing it there.
Changes in editor data files take precedence over those made in lnc files, so that's not the case.

Yea i didn't show mine.
basically i am loading up those stock licence fix files alongside my own file (which just has league names edited and wonderkids added)
When the game loads my wonderkids are there but the league names are not reflecting what i changed them to.
I'm wondering what the conflict is?

Can you upload your file? Perhaps I can have a look and identify what the issue may be.

Even after changing the competition names in the pre-editor, and enabling it before starting the save, the new names don't translate to the save.

I know this game is pretty old now, and so is this thread, but I have the same issue.
No solution posted here, but I could see this problem cropping up in several versions of the game, as they share a lot of the same systems.
I tried to change skins, in case the cache had something to do with it, but no luck.

It's simple, just edit the inc files after you start your new game and at any time after in your save game. I, for example refuse to accept the naming right to the FA Cup, so I changed it from “Emirates FA Cup” to “The FA Cup” long name and “FA Cup” short name. Cleared the cache, reload the skin, done. P.S. I also modified the logos.
