Might be a stupid question, but if you use the update with the “Your World” game mode, does it have the squads as they were as of the start of Summer 2024 or as they were in Summer 2023?

Hi @Footygamer , hoping you can help me before I get stuck into some more updates. With FM25 delayed, I know loads of people are likely looking to play updated editor file leagues. Personally, I use a file for the 24/25 Scottish leagues which includes tiers 6-10.  Generally, tiers 1-4 are well covered and up to date already, tier 5 partially in terms of this data update.

For some of the tier 6 clubs, the league website hosts a list of current squads which is accurate. While it may miss some players, those listed on the site are current players and you can see an example here:

My question is simply, will you guys accept the official league site as a source given the level of the league/clubs and players I will be submitting updates for? 

I appreciate you can't be too relaxed, but at the same time, at this level of football, the official league site is likely the best and most accurate source of 24/25 squads? 

In truth, lots of the players won't be in the database, but am I okay to go ahead and update those who are as I come across them using the site as the source?

When the changes pass through testing they can be added, bare in mind changes to structure create potential long-term game breaking issues if they are not tested appropriately.

Idk if here's the right place to talk about that but when i load the updated data base in game, it shows that this player (Aleksa Maras) is a goalkeeper when in reality he is a striker. Hope you can fix it.
P.S His age and birthday is also wrong

I'm a bit confused by the question haha… Of course we would accept the official league site as a source. Why are you under the impression that we wouldn't?

I have a couple of quesitons.  I'm trying to use Daveincid's October Increased Realism and the October Date Update from here.  Is it possible you all know which files conflict?  Also, when trying to load the game the England League file and Club files won't load together.  I have to disable the club file.  Any thoughts on that?

Thanks, because the data on some of those sites at lower levels isn't always current. Albeit, in this case it is. Some of the other information like contract start and end dates isn't there either, but at that level it is almost always one year at a time anyway. I started with a couple last night and will keep going. 

If I extend my project to the other official leagues in Scotland at those levels, would you accept club websites as valid for players there (I know at higher levels, clubs don't always show everyone e.g. James McCarthy at Celtic isn't on their site anymore, but there has never been an official note from anyone as to whether or not he has been released etc.). But at these levels, is it enough to accept current squads on official club sites as evidence a player is there in the absence of any other evidence?

Yeah absolutely any official website is a valid source, probably the most valid source

I see that you all updated the Bruno Fernandes contract and it should expire June 30 2027.  I'm not see that in game when I start a new session.  It shows contract started 8/14/23 and expires 6/30/26.  Any thoughts?  

I'm also using FMRTE custom start date and starting in Preseason 2024.

Yes the default data update is not compatible with the custom start date, you will have to use the South America data update which is compatible with starting in 2024.

For games starting in 2023 we reduce the year by 1 to make it more realistic.

Guess I don't understand this.  I thought there was a file in the update to add a year and contracts if you were trying to start with the 24/25 season.  I think in the video talking about the data update it says you can use it along side the custom start date from FMRTE.

4:44 mark it starts and says you can combine the real results, custom start date and the Fm24 data update from here together.

Hmm that's unfortunate thanks for pointing it out.

In june of each year we start doing -1 of the contracts so that it's realistic that Salah is in the last year or his contract etc 

So could I use all of these combined and choose a custom date before June 2024?

I can't say because I don't know which files you're referring to when you say “all of these combined”.

If you want to use the custom start date you would have to use the “Changes” file from the South America data update which is all transfers and contracts and nothing else .

To be honest i'm not sure why you would want to use the custom start date file? Cup competitions don't work so the wrong teams will get promoted and relegated through play offs as well as wrong teams qualifying through Europe. Is have the year be correct in the top right of the screen better than having teams in the right league?

If you could explain what's wrong with our Data Update and why you want to use the custom start date instead that would be helpful, maybe this is a misunderstanding.

can you remove the transfer ban from cardiff city?

Hello everyone. Previously I used only the file with transfers, but I want to try others. Can someone explain, please, what are the files Remove media predictions, Remove Bans, Transfer Clauses and Transfer Values for? I use realism megapack from Daveincid, will they are work combined? And do those 4 files work with league updates?

Okay this is fixed now

Media Predictions removes the predicted league position that's in there which affects fan and board happiness, Remove bans removes bans from players who were banned in July 2023. Transfer cluases adds/removes player transfer clauses adds buy back clauses and installments for club finances and transfer values just in the player history screen.

Pretty sure they should be compatible with Daveinc realism fix, the other “league updates” you refer too is top vague to give an answer
