I wonder what else makes Wayne Rooney 'angry and confused'. It must be a long list.

Why Sir Alex Ferguson has suddenly just got paler and grown ginger hair.

Bright lights, cucumber and Luis Figo's hair for a start.

I wouldn't be annoyed if he left to be honest, the reason he isn't first choice is because he's been playing incredibly shit for ages, with the occasional good moment but it's not good enough.

I just hope we get a lot of money for him.

La Masia ‏@Youngcules 5m

Late night rumour: Santi Cazorla agrees personal terms with Atletico Madrid, Miguel Angel Gil travels to London to complete the transfer.

Highly doubt this.Does anyone know if this "La Masia" guy is reliable?

Rule of thumbs: football rumors on twitter are not reliable. I wish there was a Shefter/Woj for football transfers, it would keep the bullshit down tremendously.

Marseille to sign Imbula (CM, 21, Ligue 2 player of the year last season) for 7.5M€

Another brillant signing after Payet and Mendy (suck it Sunderland), I can't believe how well the club has been handling transfers lately, complete 180 from last year.

Not entirely sure, Melo was there last season, so still possible they might want Mikel too.

Are those twitter agents still around from last year? I enjoyed reading what they came up with. Like Evra to Liverpool

I feel a little sorry for Rooney, he's too thick to realise that the club don't care if he goes but want him to hand in a transfer request. Statements like that were what they wanted.

Apparently a bid rejected from Chelsea.

Some suggestion it was £10m + Mata, I'd have bitten their hands off for that.

Ben Smith ‏@BenSmithBBC 4m Chelsea offered David Luiz or Juan Mata plus £10m. United flaty rejected it. Chelsea will come back with another bid, however.

If we get Mata, get paid and get rid of Rooney I would be so happy.

I'm inclined to believe the BBC Journo.

Also they all reported the same news, same fee and same players at the same time which means it was probably leaked.

It's a nuts offer if it is true though.

Difficult to figure out which club is more ridiculous, Chelsea for offering it or Utd for rejecting.

£10M + Mata I'd accept in a heartbeat.

Tbh, there's been rumours from day one that Mourinho doesn't like Mata or Luiz so I guess I could understand that.

BBC headline news now, they must be pretty convinced.

If it is true (which I very much doubt), why in the absolute fuck would Utd reject it? Mata feeding RVP would be jizzworthy

Luiz would be a good signing. Not convinced about Mata due to the players we already have

I reckon Woodward has balls the size of the Sun and figures if they're willing to offer Mata and £10m straight up we can fleece them for even more than that.

Have their been reports since the day he got there that he is not keen on Luiz or Mata?

Surely Mou knows enough of Mata's strengths to not fuck up and aid one of his biggest rival's cause?

Unless of course, if he's still thinking about the United job.

----

Also, Napoli (de Laurentiis) want to use the Cavani money to sign Higuain.

Well I guess if both parties involved in the transfer value Rooney a lot higher than the reports in the press (Torres money plus) it makes sense for Mourinho to offload Mata as part of it to keep costs down. If he doesn't think he's going to need him anyway, that is.

I really hope its not true though actually, it would put me into full on meltdown about how we've conducted transfer business this season if we turned down Mata.
