Thought I'd add a shameless plug for myself here.
I run a video production company:
I film and produce wedding & corporate videos mainly and thought I'd post some of my work here, for anyone that's interested.

A promo for a photographer friend:
Wedding Highlights:
I'll post more stuff here if I think it's interesting

I've filmed all sorts of events, and weddings are by far the most hard-work. What are you filming on? I've just starting use a Canon 600d DSLR with some tasty lenses and the results are fantastic. You really notice the difference at around 10:20 on the wedding highlights above.

Nice, which lenses are you working with?
My current projects are with Kingston University and their Dance course doing promo stuff for that, London Research Institute, i was sent up to Birmingham to film 30 interviews in two days which was cool and DFL Agency working with up and coming musicians etc. Its varied but im after more paid work with christmas coming up now.
20, your nuts, im more of short, feature, documentary director so the control i lose on a live shoot scares me.

Canon 50mm f/1.4 (Prime) & Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8
The prime lens is fantastic.
Those projects you're working on sound great. Weddings are earning me a living, but yeah, hard work on a live shoot like that. I always have a second camera operator on weddings to ensure the pressure isn't all on me.
Paid work is very difficult to find in this industry, I get hundreds of enquiries every year from graduates looking for jobs.

I love that lens. We had a 7d kit at Uni we used with a few primes and that was one them. Im using a Nikon 50mm 1.4 with converter on my 60d at the moment which does a job.
Yeah unfortunately thats the story at the moment. Its a weird industry to be a part of. There is a large demand for video content for a lot of companies etc due to them wanting to build an online identity but they can't afford to hire high end people to do it anymore so they either pay pittance for someone that will do it or offer no pay but some exposure and a CV credit.

I feel I'm producing better stuff now and my reputation is growing in the area, which is nice. Just booked a hire at a wedding for the new Canon C100 which I can't wait to put through it's paces. At nearly £4,000 it would be a HUGE investment, so will be interested to see the difference it makes between my current setup (a 600d)
