I'm not expecting Pep to hold talks with us (or anyone for that matter) at this point in time - he probably already has agreed a deal, still think it's City.

AVB seems very quiet. Won the Russian League last year and topped his CL group.

I wanted AVB as Arsene's assistant once he got sacked at Chelsea tbh.

If anyone wants a good bet, once Pep gets appointed City manager I reckon Alaba will be his first signing

What do Man United fans think of this possibility, Pochettino taking over from LVG?

Personally, I think he would be a better fit than Mourinho.

I'd say its probably a year or two early for him, and I'm not even certain he'd jump ship.

To be honest, I'm resigned to the fact we're going to be stupid enough to appoint Giggs. So as a potential replacement when he fails, could be a good shout.

We're definitely going to appoint Giggs after LvG. Which is just as big a risk as Moyes, if not bigger.

With Pep (most likely going to City though) and Jose available, plus the likes of Pochettino, Blanc and Conte linked with the club, appointing Giggs will look embarrassing.

He may do well, but I highly doubt it.

Be a bad move giving someone like Giggs the role when he's got fuck all experience.

L'Equipe reporting that Pep met with United officials last week.

Here we go, the fun is beginning.

If we manage to get Pep that would be unbelievable!!

I can't see it happening though. He'll take the easier option and go to City.

Yeah I highly doubt we could get him ahead of City.

Their setup is pretty much been created over the last few years to suit Pep.

The only things we've ever bothered to deny in since Woodward's bene in charge have all turned out to be true.

Whilst that's pretty true I still won't get excited about this.

Highly doubt Pep will choose us over City.

Good good.

EDIT: The Guardian are reporting LvG offered to resign on Saturday. Woodward told him to talk it over with his family on Sunday and report in Tuesday. Let's see what happens.

Tbh I'd give Giggs until the summer unless we're confident Mourinho is our man.

Not a lot of top managers available at present.

De Telegraaf also reporting the same as The Guardian and The Sun. Meeting today. If LvG isn't gone today I bet he'll stay until the summer.

If it's true that's he's offered to resign a third time and Woodward has again said no, then the 'Ed Out' protests should start. He's a fucking disaster on the football side of things.

EDIT: BBC and Sky say Ed is in London, LvG is taking training as normal and didn't offer to resign. Strange that pretty much every paper is reporting the contrary. Either way the point above still stands, Ed is a disaster.

Almost as if Jamie Jackson is the worst United journalist around and has been caught lying again...

I can't imagine LVG being the type of fella to offer his resignation once let alone three times.

I would normally think the same but he wasn't the only one to report it. Even though he is awful.

I've seen other people also saying that LvG isn't the type to resign but seeing how dejected he's looked lately it wouldn't surprise me.

No paper that you'd call 'reliable' though when it comes to United news.

And LVG is definitely the 'resigning type' whatever that is, seeing as he's said in public that he might resign, tried to resign from AZ Alkmaar and resigned from Barcelona.

De Telegraaf reported it, they've usually been spot on in regards to LvG.

Although that was about the meeting, I don't think they mentioned anything about him resigning.

I really hope so. I'm definitely not Jose's biggest fan, but if LvG goes in the summer and we replace him with Giggs then we're going to fall behind City.

Without a doubt! Still in with a shot of winning the quad (unlikely, but doable) and hes gota go at the end of the season no matter how well he does!

Wouldn't it be great if he just fucked shit up with taactics and players, put aguero in goal and hart up front and just screwed city over! hahahaha!

It was a no brainer for Pep really. It was set up nicely for him and everybody knew it.

Giggs vs Pep next season, just you watch.
