As the description says currently 63 unbeaten with Arsenal, have included some pics of when i started using the tactic (was a few unbeaten games before) and also the transfers made just to show that i haven't gone out and purchased all the best players in the game first!

Forgot to add that you should play with an Attacking mentality unless its a tough away game where i would change it to defensive.

Lost my record after 69 games but still an amazing achievement and something i'll certainly never do again. Have now lost two league matches since using this tactic which isn't bad considering i must have played around 80+ matches with it.

Awesome record, and a great tactic. I had a similar on FM15, where all those wide players where trained to centre, Walcott as an SS.
Those transfers out, those players were transfer listed, yes? Özil for £35?

Yeah decided to cut the squad down to allow some of the youngsters to get a better chance. Ozil was sold with the intention of replacing him with an (almost) equally good player, had my sites on either De Bruyne, Pogba or Deli Alli but sadly all were far too expensive. Luckily Iwobi, Reine-Adelaide, Reiss Nelson and even Vlad Dragomir have came in 3rd season and done very well for me and also speeded up their development. As for the players who came in, Greizmann has an £86m buyout, Hazard was listed by request (because i tapped him up lol) and Carrasco just didn't play well through the middle. Probably should have given him more time and training but ended up making a big loss on him at -£33m over just half season!

I understand. I got a save with Arsenal ongoing, and PSG came in for Özil with £75m in the summer of 2018. I replaced him with Lemar for £35m. Quite the deal, just have to give him time. Vlad is actually my AP #2 as of now. Tried to free Pogbra from his transfer request in the late hours of the summer window, but my tries remained futile. £100m was max. Iwobi hasn't been such a star for me, maybe he needs conistent time. Managed to offload Elneny to Tyneside for £30m but the supporters was not happy at all, I am stunned. Man City snapped up Gabirel for £20m. Great deals all in all.

Funny you should mention Iwobi as his performances dropped during the 3rd season for me too, finally lost his place to Jeff Adelaide who is a player i really like. Just won the Premier and now have the FA Cup and Europa League finals to play, dropped into the Europa after trying to extend the unbeaten run at the start of the season in the league. Had a group containing Athletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Sporting Lisbon (i think) but the weakened side i was playing just wasn't strong enough against Madrid and Inter sadly. Will try and post up some pics later (at work now) to show how the tactic is still playing very well despite making no changes whatsoever to it and arguably now having a slightly weaker first 11 from last season.

Hopefully we'll do better this season in the Champions League (no more unbeaten run to worry about) though have only signed a couple of players, Ederson from Benfica to replace Cech who left for Juventus and in what is certainly a bit of a shock transfer i managed to prize Dybala away from PSG for £155m, but to also ensure i kept spaces in the squad for the youngsters i also included Sanchez in the deal. So my 50 goal hero from last season is no longer at the club, could it prove a bad decision?

I never use any OI's as i feel that disrupts the way you want you're team to play as your players tend to move from position a lot more. So i make sure they are not set to be handled by my assistant and just leave them blank every match.

How's Vlad doing? What about Dybala? I want him so badly, got the finances but I also want Lukaku to maintain his goalscoring.

Ended up selling him https://community.sigames.com/topic/386210-fm17-arsenal/?do=findComment&comment=10669368

Have finished with Arsenal now but have used the tactic with a much smaller side and done well with it during the first season.

Stopped playing as Arsenal and started a new game with my local side Southend, made no changes to the tactic other than playing with either a standard or defensive mentality rather than attacking unless i felt we was stronger than the opposition and at home too. Our odds for promotion were 450-1 at the start of the season...

As you can see no massive transfer activity (cheating basically), just played the game as normal and managed promotion at the first time of asking. Though the Championship will be much tougher and i'll be happy with simply not being relegated!

HI, I started a new game using this tactic with Plymouth (local team) and managed to win League two at the first attempt started OK in League one but will see if the updated version can get me promoted again. have to say its a fab tactic although I do concede a few goals from crosses. Should I still use standard and defensive mentality with a smaller club?

Yes definitely mate or you will be too open, nothing wrong with playing attacking if you're behind or against a much weaker side but i wouldn't use unless you really have to going by my experience so far with Southend. Only played a handful of games in the Premier League but am really really struggling, though this is almost certainly down to the strength of my team and not the tactic as we're no where near good enough. Had the same when i was first promoted to the Championship and then got relegated, came back stronger 2 years later and then managed to get promotion . Really not expecting to stay in the Premier for more than a season but will give it a good go.

Well Impressed so far only played two games drew 0-0 with Swindon at home but had 69% possession then thrashed Coventry away 4-1!!! Will keep you posted as my season goes on.

Yeah that's just what i was using it on with Southend Utd but you can change the mentality from game to game depending on the opposition.

Hi VP. I'm using your tactic (First version | Attacking) with my Ajax team & I found it quite good. I'm in November 2016 (started recently) & we're top of the Eredivisie at the moment. In the CL, we managed to qualify for the Group Stage but I don't think we'll manage to achieve 2nd place. Currently we're 3rd & we must win vs Napoli & Leicester lose in order to qualify for the Knockout Stage. Anyway, considering that it's a very young team, I'm quite satisfied

I think that, defensively, this tactic is really strong - I went 6 consecutive games without conceding a goal & won all of them for example. And when we don't manage to keep a clean sheet, usually we let in only a few goals. Offensively, it's really good as well - we're the team that scored more goals. I really like the movement & the passing that it produces, especially between the front 5. Also, many goals are scored via through balls & I'm really a fan of those type of goals.

Another thing I like about it is the fact that it doesn't use OIs. I'm not really a fan of them & I totally agree with you when you say that they disrupt the way you want your team to play.

Now ... I know that maybe the Eredivisie is not the hardest league but Ajax have a very young team & with PSV dominating lately, it's not that easy either. Furthermore, Heerenveen & Vitesse are giving me a hard time as well.

Anyway .... I have one small concern with this tactic. Sometimes I see it as too Narrow. Ok, I know that it's set-up to 'Exploit the Middle' & on certain occasions, we do build our play via the Full-Backs / score from a cross. But, there are instances in which we're unable to penetrate the opposition's defence through the middle. So, I was thinking about making it a bit wider when it needs be. What do you suggest please? Do you think it's better to, for example, alter the AM & SS Player Instructions so they get wider? Or it's better to amend the Team Instructions?

And one final thing. I noticed that you've set it up with very few Player Instructions. I'm not complaining about this but do you have any suggestions for additional PIs to further improve the tactic please?

Thank you in advance for your assistance

Thanks for the comments, its good to see others have success with it

Personally i'd set the players to move wider rather than change the whole shape of the team as it meant to be a more centrally attacking tactic. As for the PI's that's totally down to yourself if you wish to change them, i personally don't like tactics with too many instructions as i feel it can over complicate things. Now i'm saying that doesn't mean they won't make the tactic better, i prefer to keep things as simple as possible.

I may look into making another couple of tactics in the coming weeks with completely different formations to this one. I'd like to try and recreate a couple of old Arsenal tactics, one from the late 80's (a 5-3-1-1) which saw us win 2-0 at Anfield to win the title and the other from start of the Wenger years which would be more of a 4-4-2.

Thanks for your reply VP.

Yeah, I agree ... I think it's better to set the players to move wider rather than change the whole shape of the team. However, after I wrote this post, I checked the PIs of the AM & SS & there isn't an option to 'Stay Wider' To be honest, I wrote this post at work & while writing it, I wasn't sure about the PIs available. As soon as I went home, I checked & they don't have a 'Stay Wider' option.

So .... I was thinking about moving them wider physically i.e. as IFs or Wingers. Do you think it will affect the tactic badly? Have you ever tried it please?

Don't remind me about that 2-0 win at Anfield!!!! (PS: I'm a Liverpool fan I'm playing with Ajax because I have too much respect for Klopp ). Anyway, I'll be looking forward to your tactics because, as I said, I really like this one & I'm sure you're capable of producing even better ones
