Updating logos/name fixes for FM21 on a Mac running Big Sur?

Hi all,

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I can't decide which one is the best fit so I have gone for general.

I'm trying to add an update but the /dat folder that the installation guides refer to is either missing or hidden (screenshot attached). I've searched the forums and google for any info relating to this problem on Big Sur but can't find anything. Does anyone have a solution or work around please?
