When I am downloading a FM22 extra patch or add on it defaults to Microsoft word. How do i change this and what should I be downloading the files as?

It might be that the file type is associated on your Windows setup to Word. It makes no difference at the end of the day, as long as the file is placed in the right place.

What file is this and what is the extension? You can find the extension by right-clicking on the downloaded file and choosing properties - it will then give you the extension.
