Hi, is anyone else having problems with todays update from Steam? FM23 was working perfectly yesterday. Logged on to Steam which updated the latest update patch and since then I am unable to load FM23 and it comes up with the following Error message:
Error😢Null)
Couldn't read the animation pack.cat file, animations will be broken
Make sure the animation data is up to date on disk:
art/animations/pack.cat
As I say, worked perfectly yesterday until today's update on Steam?
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated

Was given a fix to try and it worked 🙂:
Log in to Steam and Right Click on Football Manager 23. Select Properties and select Local Files
Click on Verify Integrity Games Files This may take a few mins (I had a couple of files that needed to be re implemented which was done automatically)
Close the box and go to play Football Manager 2023
This worked for me, is now loading up as before. So pleased and grateful for the advice. I wouldn't have known what to do otherwise.

Hello, I've done this for the recent update I'm having the same issue, but I've done what you've said but they still pop up, is there any other ways to stop it happening please

Anyone else have any success fixing this problem? Verified the integrity of my files and I still get two errors and the game crashes. So frustrating

I'm frankly amazed that some are unaware about verifying game files and basic troubleshooting. These are must knows. Also, too often questions are asked when the answers have already been posted on these pages.

I have the same issue since yesterdays as i updated the soundpack mod, before i did, everything worked fine. Even reinstallation doesn't help. Ithink now i fixed it: I went to steam - right click on FM 23 and at beta i activated beta. once i started the game and it worked, then go back to steam and go back to the live version, now it works.
