Stuck processing between days

So after having a recent issue with save files, I managed to get going again, but have now a brick wall of an issue once again.

I get to the evening of Sep 16, 2023. When I click 'Continue' to progress the game, the game starts processing, the timeline moves to Sep 17 but then I'm stuck there between days and it never finishes or gives me any feedback. I've tried multiple times, with no success. Right now I have it on my second monitor, it has been going for over 18h straight without advancing. Windows has even unallocated most of the RAM from it. I don't even know what it could possibly be processing that would take this long, but it's still constantly using 12-18% of my CPU resources (Ryzen 4600h).  https://imgur.com/a/HkzvhzT
I wish I could launch the client in some kind of verbose mode, so I could see what it's doing.

What I've tried doing to circumvent this latest issue with no success:

1. Clear cache.
2. On Sep 15 I had my Youth intake and I had offered a few contracts. I cancelled all pending contract/transfer offers before clicking continue.
3. I removed all scouting priorities

4. I had also assigned a few players to scout on Sep 15. So I cleared the entire list of players to scout.
5. I tried going on holiday. If I selected 1 day, it successfully took me 1h forward to Sep 17, 00:00. However, continuing after that or even going on holiday to pass Sep 17 completely just left me stuck on Sep 17 in the same way as before.

Right now I'm not sure what to do more. I can re-install again, but I did so just recently, so I'm not expecting it to fix anything. Any ideas are welcome
