Falcao....
King Luis
Like what? I mentioned Huntelaar and thats about it.
Dutton
Ah, definitely looks like you're talking about Adrian seeing as it's under the vid and rumour VP posted.
Fantastic
Please.
VP.
He can't.
I'd imagine Arsenal being the best place for most young players looking to improve themselves to go. You get game time (not chucked out on loan), learn from a top coach/manager and when you feel the time is right make a massive move to Manchester. Well thats providing we don't actually challenge for the title in the next 5 or so years.
Zog
Definitely not talking about Falcao anywhere.
chokosc
Falcao, Cavani. We need someone big. When Cisse moved to Newcastle he stole the spotlight and Ba was terrible, barely scored. Don't think we should take the risk.
King Luis
You really think Roman is going to shell out for either of them?
chokosc
1. You never know what Roman is planning.
2. He has to. I am pretty sure he has realised by now that you can't solely trust Torres.
Jason
King Luis
He wont spend 40/50 million on a player for risk of him flopping, he'll buy someone who can support Torres rather than someone like Falcao/Cavani who are quite simular players.
chokosc
Similar to each other, yes. Similar to Torres, no chance.
bluemoon.
chokosc
Again, you never know. Atletico need the money, so they might want to sell him. Wouldn't even mind letting Torres go if it means we get Falcao for cheaper.
King Luis
They wouldn't sell Falcao cause they need the money then resign Torres, even if he was part of the deal his wages would be massive.
chokosc
True, but they would probably 'only' be around Falcao so they still make some sort of profit.
Anyways, we need a target man sort of player. We need someone that can control the ball anywhere on the pitch and score. Torres always drifts wide and usually loses control of the ball when he is in the middle (look at the ball he got form Luiz yesterday)... We need someone to be where a striker is supposed to be.
Bringing Lukaku back now is stupid because he is doing alright at WBA.
hammer9
bluemoon.
He's losing his touch.
Franck

yeah i know... FUCK!
Manchester United is first bid on Zaha for £8m but Palace rejected.

I'm sorry, but no.
Chelsea don't need either Falcao or any other big name striker to be quite frank. What we need right now is depth up front and Ba offers that, while being a good striker, cheap and also a realistic option. Spunking £50m on a striker makes absolutely no sense whatsoever while Torres remains at the club, let alone in January. Maybe if Torres is sold, we replace him with someone of a higher stature and reputation, but until that that happens signing players like Ba is far more beneficial, as is having a selection of 3 or 4 good players in that position.
Torres drifts wide (not so much anymore since Benitez joined) because that's where the space is for him, due to the likes of Mata/Hazard always coming inside. Having another striker isn't going to change anything in that regard. And if you've watched the likes of Falcao or Cavani in the past, both also drift wide themselves.

Ba would be an improvement on Kalou, but I understand what you're saying. It's all about depth really.
Torres could well kick 20+ goals this season and people will still want him out, which isn't something you don't see or hear of often. But if Chelsea can add another striker or two who can kick 10-15 themselves, to compliment Torres, then that's going to be far more valuable than spending a ridiculous amount on a single striker, who's also no sure thing either.

Was replying to TS..
Only TS mentioned and that's what me and I assume KL were replying to..
Number 1
Interesting he reportedly failed a medical at NUFC but we signed him anyway. Would Chelsea be prepared to take similar risks?
Flash.
chokosc
But you rarely find these players that can easily score 15 goals a season for cheap. Sure, Torres only needs 13 goals to get to 20 but we are coming into the 21st game and he has 7 goals. So if it keeps like this, he should have around 14. Of course it doesn't work like but I can't see him scoring 13 goals in 17 games, because of the fact that if he does manage to score one goal, he usually fails to score another.
Flash.
He's already got 14 goals this season, that's more than most strikers (And already more than Drogba got all last season), so he's on course so hit about 25.
