It's hard comparing generations, but would you say your world class Rafael is as good as let's say Carlos, Maldini, Lahm etc? I know I mentioned 2 left backs in there but that's just cause I'm not going to lie, I'm struggling to think of many right backs names at the moment. The kid is good, but he's got a long way to go.

Suarez would also be a fair bit behind your Ronaldos, Rauls etc but I believe he's a lot closer to their status than Rafael is to his competition.

But it's a nothing discussion really

No, but that's not a claim anyones made. Also I personally think Suarez is a LOT further from the absolute greatest strikers of all time than you're trying to intimate. Although, to be fair, KM has a point with this discussion, at least, that its best left until the end of players careers before you really engage in this discussion.

Was hopeful with earlier rumours that one or both of Rooney and RVP were injured that we would see Kagawa in the hole, but no complaints with them both fit. Nice to see Jones in his proper position and Januzaj getting games.

He's contract situation doesn't sound too bad. His agent sounds positive and it sounds like the only hitch has been the change of management at United which caused a break in negotiations.

Most recent thing I've seen is 'we are back working on the talks. I have already from Adnan's family an agreement to communicate.'
